Ours went well over. My dress was £200 over (not including alterations), the bridesmaids dresses were £35 over each ... etc etc eventually we were about 50% over, not including the honeymoon

Thanks June but the venue won't let us have table confetti!
Came up with another idea, as it's something we need, how about giving everyone a blank disc to put their pictures on for us? May have to write something to the effect in the invites but we're not having a photographer just a friend taking the shots and this would mean a higher chance of decent shots (not that I don't trust my friend!) xx

We found it really hard to stick to a budget so we scrapped it and we've found it's a lot easier to do things when you aren't sticking to a certain price bracket and I've actually found ton's more bargains!! Strange lol

Our budget kept creeping up. Our wedding is at around £9k now. We have been given a gift of £2k from h2b's mum & stepdad. H2b's dad & stepmum, have given us £1k and my mum has put some money towards out photographer. H2b keep selecting the top packages for everything.

On favours which were mention quiet a few posts back. I wasn't planning of having them, but then I came across a stall on my local market that sells wooden roses, 10 for £1. I'm going to put one on top of each guests napkin. I will attach a leaf shape piece of card to each with 'thank you' on it, then they can double up as table decorations and favours. I'm only having 40 guests, so this will cost me the grand total of £4. I am also doing a sweet buffet and was thinking of do a sign for this that says 'Make your own favours', and suppling some sweet bag so that guests know that it's ok for them to take some sweets home.
