Old - H2b. Does that count? Only joking. H2b bought me a silver sixpence for my shoe the date on it is 1910 - 100 years before our wedding.
New - my dress and garter
    Borrowed - My sister's veil
Blue - garter and a little bow on my dress underneath.

Has any one else got a silver sixpence for their shoe? Does anyone else read the superstitions? Must step into the church with your right foot for good luck!

Old being my grandmothers pearl choker, and my wellies.
    New being my dress.
Blue being my garter, and a single blue flower sewn into the detail on my dress.
Not yet decided on my borrowed, i'm hoping my mil might find a pearl bracelet for me to wear.

I've got a sixpence which i always carry in my purse, to go in the bottom of one of my wellies. xx

    Something old, something new
    Something borrowed, something blue
And a silver sixpence in your shoe

I don't know which shoe it should be, I think it's the left one. There are so many wedding superstitions! I recommend not looking though - you'd need a notepad to remember everything. Good luck to see a chimney sweep in the morning - bad luck if you see a pig. The groom should give a coin to the first person he sees on the morning of the wedding to bring good luck. There are quite literally hundreds. Why not to drop the rings, why you should be carried over the threshhold. Interesting reading though.

my sixpence is one that i was given wen i was pregnant wif my youngest son, to put in his cot. i was trying to think of a special year so i cud try and get a sixpence with that year on but nothing sprung to mind, so wen i looked at the one for the baby it has 1966 on. wen me and carl get married i will be 34 and he wil be 32 which added together is 66 so im also gona borrow that x

i not sure about how old summit has to be. i also hav a pandora bracelet that carl bought me wen we had been together 3 years and was plannin tp wear that and i've dropped hints the size of texas that i want him to buy me the little wedding cake charm to go on it for the wedding day ha ha. in my opinion if its been used its not new is it so it can be classed as your old.xx
