Wedding Forum - Have you got a chinadress/online order?...

I bought a flower girl dress from a chinese supplier on line. The dress we saw was beautiful but when it arrived it was a totally different dress! Not even remotely like the one we had ordered! It was a total waste of money >:( Luckily my mum offered to make it instead and has made the most beautiful dress without even having a pattern! xx

I've been debating on getting my dress from China, as I can't afford to pay for an original. I was put off the other day by some reviews I read on the net, but this thread (and others on here) have changed my mind. If anyone could recommend any sites or suppliers, can they post links on my wall? Much appreciated! Thanks :-) x

I bought my first dress on bay of E, from china, and to be honest, it didnt' look at all like the original photo, at first glance it looked beautiful, but the more i looked at it and the more I tried it on, something just wasnt right, I found little flaws in the fabric and whole lines of holes where they had unpicked some of it.

I didn't feel like a princess, so sold that one and lady was over the moon, so thats good.

2nd one was from a wedding shop, but in the sale, and I love it.

I did buy all my bridesmaids dresses from Bay of E from lady in Birmingham, and have to say, they are gorgeous.

i bought my dress from china off the bay.............

i absolutely loved it!!! i sent my measurements and it came perfect size, the material was incredibly similar to a typical wedding dress only maybe not quite as soft, it is heavy and all the beading was done fantastically.
the only thing i would say is that it didnt comeslightly different to the picture not in shape or anything but on the pic it had clear beading at the top of the bodice but when it came it was sequins at the top instead but intruth i actually preferred it that way.............

i ordered it at end of feb ish i think and i didnt expect to get it until beginning of may because of the chinese new year but i explain that i was due to marry end of may and they managed to get it to me for end of april which i was really chuffed with.

all in all id say for a cost of 96quid if it went wrong it wouldnt have been a huge amount of money to lose. x x x

i think thats a good copy, you'd probs need a hoop to fluff it out to exactly how it looks in the pic but i reckon thats good hun x

oh i dont know what seller it was sorry girls i got it for £120 off htb ebay account and sold it to a ebay lady for £45 hope she liked it

She does look great in it but not sure the dress is what I rethought it would b like! But I guess will ave to wait till I get it! Not even sure if she used the same seller there's a lot of eBay sellers selling the same dress x

im slightly confuzzled the dress in ur picture album is the dress mrsb2b brought and sold its not the same as my dress hun x

Oh, and I'm seriously thinking about ordering my dress from she who must not be named next week, only thing is, I want to loose a little weight (2stone TOPS!) and I'm scared if I order my measurement it will end up being too big...but will having the lace and not zip help with that?

I have found the dress I want & I asked voldemort if she could make it & all she said in the email was "we can't make it". No reason why or anything. It's on the ************* site. Has anyone brought anything from them?!?

thanks pennieb, i have literally just got an email back with details of the dress i wanted, Wen i spoke to her a few months ago i got the price and info and she told me to order between sep and dec, i have just got an email now to say that there has been a price hike for the dress and postage but my laptop wont let me open the link.. Just my luck.. lol... but she did say it was due to better fabric materials and beading work... Just have to get my laptop to be nice and open the link 4 me.. lol..

ive ordered one! (from the bay) as soon as its here i'll let you know what its like, I'm so nervous about it but they had really good feedback and i emailed a few buyers who'd bought the same one an heard nothing but good things so fingers crossed!

I received both my bridesmaid dresses last week from China. £148 incl p&p and arrived a week early!
I'm over the moon with them, the colour and the fabric are simply gorgeous. Stitching on sashes are a little loose but nothing that cant be easily sorted. The dresses are even better than i saw on website and would recommend the supplier to any bride on a budget.
