oh thank you so much for directing me to this thread. i love this wed site wish i found it sooner, well i have been engaged for a week and plan to marry next december after christmas before new year, i am planning to get my dresses on line and bridesmaid dresses. so i wanna no where is the best place to go i have been told and looked a lot at *********** and *********. i have heard of the ones on bay but i dont no and i wanna no how good a quality. thanks again x

I loved my dress btw, it was absolutely gorgeous and everyone commented on it, saying that it was beautiful. Even had some random guy in the hotel come up to hubby to let him know that his wife is a seamstress and it was one of the best dresses she had ever seen :)

My dress company has been in contact with me letting me know that they are on the way....i have 2 bm dresses and the one that i will wear in the evening... same as my bm's but in ivory. Can't wait for them to arrive.

I'm alarmed now - I just looked at my dress listing and it says petticoat not included (which I expected) AS SHOWN ON PICTURE. That's the bit that alarms me. If the petticoat is visible, I assumed that was the lining of the dress - surely they're not selling a see through skirt? The dress is ivory and gold taffeta, so is very see through. Other than what I thought was the lining, I can't make out a petticoat aside from the way the dress hangs. Does anyone have any inside info or experience?

I ordered a dress on-line and It was petticoat not included. But It does have a crinoline lining. If you want the dress to sit exactly in the picture a petticoat may be needed

DONT PANIC!!
Generally what this means is the model wearing the dress in the photo has an underskirt on which makes the dress fall the way is does
Companies tend to put that wording in listings so if people buy the dress without an underskirt it might not sit the same way it does in the photo, if you are sourcing your own underskirt i wouldnt worry at all but if you are planning to go without one then the bottom of your dress might not flow the same at in the photo,
what i would also say is for a lot of websites this is put on all adverts to encourage youy to buy an underskirt even if its not needed some dresses have a built in crinoline or stiff tulle that holds the skirt out, so there is no need to worry just yet
if you have time between your wedding and receiving the dress you can always get a cheap underskirt from the bay or a local bridal store if you really arent happy with it
Hopefully you wont need one tho,

OMG!!
I received my dress from the chinasite I ordered from after 6 DAYS!!
It's absolutely stunning, custom to my measurements and they changed the zip back to a lace up at no extra charge The only thing I would suggest is when you measure your height make sure you measure it with your heels on, (I forgot and now may need to reconsider my 5"heels)
I'll post up some photos of what I received shortly (when H2B isn't around) but it really does look georgous Amber is a very happy Girl xxx

I'm worried - my dress was marked as dispatched on 4th, but today they've sent me 2 messages asking for my full name, postal address and phone number. They already mailed me twice for my phone number before the dispatch date. I really hope this isn't going to be a cock-up :0(

eeeppp!!!! just got an email with the pics of my dress!! It will be postred soon! what do you think? Its covered in swarovski crystals that you cant see in the pics lol! It needs a petticoat to poof it out, which I have here, it is also black.

I will tell you on your wall where I got mine. She was amazing! I changed my mind and the design a few times through the process and she was always willing to change and help!

Mine is here!! It's a beautiful dress, fits well as far as I can tell with my 10 year old trying to do the laces (I will be seeing mum on Tuesday for a proper fitting). My only critism is that where the detail has been sewn on, there are lots of long ends. I'm hoping my mum will sew them in for me, although I am sure i can do it if she's not got time. I'm thrilled to bits and would order again.
