Maryannt, it would depend on how much time you have left really, if you have the time then wait and see how happy you are with the BM dresses. Personally, I love my dress from ann and am really glad I took the plunge there. My aunt used to be a seamstress and she said that the only think that she would have done to make it better would be to overlock the seams, but since it's not an item that will be washed and worn on a regular basis, it makes no difference overall. She was also impressed at it, especially for the price I paid :)

yea I know my dress is meant to be £850 in the shop £165 with ann I think I am just going to order it I have got time to wait not getting married til july but I am inpatient hahaha

After my posts at beginning on the thread.... i eventually bought my dress from a lady on FB....who was selling 'The One' at a fraction of the price i was willing to pay from an Irish designer who made replica dresses for £500. The dress came and i noticed it was a Chinese replica. Apart from the not so heavy dress....the dress is perfect!!! Although some of the beads and pearls need re threading it perfect!!!

hey girls, I know it takes 7 weeks or so to get dresses from Anne but just wondered how acurate the time frame was for those who've received their dresses? Mine is due in 3 weeks or so but I am impatient and dont want to expect it to get here exactly on time and then be all worked up lol. Did you girls get yours on time?

hey girls i saw my dress i wanted from shop from a big designer and well its just over a £1000 but i seen on bay of e that a place in china does a replica but not sure if i can trust getting the dress from abroad in case i pay the money and it really badly made. but the other thing bothering me is.....is it wrong to pay dirt cheap prices to get a dress made that rips of the designer and im sure that the people in china get paid very little for the time and work that goes into making a dress like this. any advice, im having a moral dilemma in my head ova this.

Tori, I know what you mean but unfortunately that is how things are in China, designer dresses are also made in China as are many, many ranges of clothing from the high street. It would be hard going to try and cut out any items made in China or Thailand as so many companys use these countries. Also the designers make plenty of money from these dresses, if the replica companies can make a cheaper version for so little then how can the originals really cost that much to make? The prices are marked up so high that it makes it near impossible for normal people to buy these dresses. I would've loved to have bought the original dress but there is no way I could afford £1300, even an older sample of the dress was £950. My dress is coming from Anne, who is has many great reviews (not just on here but on her fb page also, including photos of the dresses being used) I believe she is reliable but I will tell you for sure when my dress arrives in 3 weeks or so :-) Hope this helps! :-)

Got my MoH's dress from China, as I've mentioned on here before. Just thought I'd post a picture of her in it so you can see what it was like. Also, NOTE, she is an A-cup bust and the dress came with quite a lot of padding in the dress (she was pleased about it, but I can see that it may be a problem for some people)...

Hi recieved my wedding dress today made by ******* an OMG!! its absolutely stunning and just as heavy as the dress i tried on the shop :) i didnt think it would be so alike to the one i tried on but it is and the material is amazing. I brought the maggie sottero Hampton dress and would deffinately recommend people to use buy online x

Hi girls need some advice I am planning to get my dress from she who can not be name.... have already already my bridemaids dresses from her and waiting for them to come before ordering mine I am getting it from her because we are on a tight budget I have done all my measurements but I keep having nightmares that it won't fit right when I do get it as it is very fitted Anyone got a fitted style dress from her before and if so did itneed altering when it came??

Mine is fitted to the hip and it's like a glove - all the dresses are lace up back unless you specify otherwise, and that helps with the fit of it. I was the same, I had awful dreams about it not fitting, but when it got here it was so perfect! Hope that helps x

yea mine is lace up but should be fitted to mid thigh -ish they ask for hip and waist measurements butnot top of thigh do you think I should put that in special request part of measurement form??

Just seen this thread....I got my dress from an online shop (china) - Its a perfect copy and I paid £200 - real one was £1350! Little out of my price range! It's lace, so has a few threads that need tidying up...but they've got all the detail spot on, and all just from the picture! I can't wait to wear it....I would deffo reccommend it! My friend got her's from the sam site, it;s covered in diamontes and you'd never know it was only £150!!
And, I think of it this way, it's now a one off, made just for you. Much more special! :-D
