Linzi-jo I haven't yet but a girl I work with got her bm dresses made from ******* and she says she cannot fault anything on them - they are jst as good, if not better than the bridal store versions x

hi all my mum got 3 BM dresses and hers from a ebay seller in china. the 3 bm dresses looked and felt designer quality spot on , until the day one dresses zip ripped when youngest bm was dressing with cars due in 20 mins she had to be sewn in her dress, middle bms dresses zip ripped as she was being photographed getting out the car at the ceremony! mums dress had a completely beautiful corset but the skirt was horrible thin material with dirty marks all over it and snags. it had a big red sash at waist which really helpfully had been stiched done up in a bow to the back of dress making it massivey hard to get into with out ruining the stiching.
not a recommended experience but mum was so happy it saved her a fortune she wasnt really bothered i think i cringed more, id have cryed if it were my wedding lol xx

I have narrowed it down to two dresses a Benjamin Roberts and a maggie sottero from she who cannot be named. Can anybody who have had these dresses tell me about corsetry. When i have tried on dresses many have an inbuilt bra (hook n eye fastening). And i feel i defo need this also a corset back made me feel secure too. Do the dresses come with this? are they boned? or is this something i need to look into seperately? Or if asked can she who cannot be named provide.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can anwer this for me.

My dress is a Maggie Sottero Selena from her. It's not a very corseted dress when you look at it anyway, so the boning is minimal. It does have boning though, so I expect a dress with a proper corset top would be made with more boning. For my dress though my bust is too big to rely on the dress to hold me in perfectly so I'm probably going to get a corset for it. But I think if the original dress has lots of boning, it'll be made to reflect that. Can't tell you about the bra thing though because mine doesn't have one. Not sure if the original dress does or doesn't though.

yours is fab lego bride had a little peek before thanks for the info too. If i can ask for it i might as i know this added a big difference. I have also googled both dresses on real people to get and idea of how they look and i love them both. Each have a lot of detail which also concerns me. Its the maggie sottero sylvia and benjamin roberts 951. I guess the corsetry is something i can overcome if i need to buy it. I have emailed her via facebook but no reply so might try her on her email account direct. Thanks again

I don't think they use their facebook often so you're definitely better off emailing direct, I heard from her a few days after I emailed.
I can't comment on detail I'm afraid, I was so concerned about it I asked for it not to have any detailing added on. But I wasn't keen on the original dresses detailing anyway and I had plans to customise it myself. A few other girls on here have got lace dresses from her which are stunning. Plus the dresses on the facebook they've made have beautiful detail so I'm sure there's nothing to worry about. :)

I am sure i am worrying and im a pretty simple person im having a wedding aborad and tried on lots of beach type dresses which just didnt suit me. So chapel train it is hee hee!
I will send a message and ask about the questions that are niggling me better to check i suppose.

OMG! Gotta tell u this story.......I had a "sorry we missed you" note through the door yesterday, so I sent my H2B to pick the parcel up as my mum had ordered some clothes for my sons camping trip, well he comes home with this large grey parcel which I begin to open with him right next to me....as I am unwrapping I'm thinking to myself "It looks like a duvet or something..not clothes" then I twigged......IT'S MY DRESS!!!!!! S***!!!! I grabbed the whole parcel and screamed at him to not look and ran bear hugging it upstairs!!!! I couldn't believe it! I had an email last week saying it would be dispatched next week and I would be emailed the tracking number (which I never received) I also put my mums address for delivery but they sent it to my house!! Bloody good job no one was in yesterday otherwise I would have told H2B to open it if he was home (thinking it was my mums order!) I panicked, called my mum and in an instant I was out the house over at my mums and unpacking it.......well.........IT'S LUSH!!! It looks exactly like the original! They have added the sash I wanted and it fits PERFECTLY!!! Unfortunately I didn't take any photos but my BM's are coming round on Monday for a viewing & fitting so will take some then!
After all the panic and stress that H2B nearly saw the dress..I'm sooooo happy! I've just bagged myself a £1500 dress for £200! Woop!!!

Excellent news tikobear! Can't wait to see pics! I was astounded mine fit perfectly as well. Cannot fault them :) though I didn't get a tracking number either and it turned up really early. Can't complain though!

I was going to order form ******* as they have such good reviews. But didnt as I left it too late and got nervous....blah de blah. Having two pregnant BMs didnt help as got nervous they wouldnt be right.
Instead ordered from the bay of e is based in the uk but think they come from China. I ordered Thursday even and the one arrived on Saturday (other has been posted to Bm as she lives so far...so just waiting for hers to arrive!) But the one that came here is lovely and soo well made. The only bad thing I would say, and this is being very very fussy as there isnt anything else bad to say about them, is there is no hook and eye in the dress (but I can add that in) and Im not keen on the band under the bust (but I had discussed getting some ribbon to put on that before I brought them) Will let you know when other Bms arrives and what she says. But seller has been great and communication is fab. Will post pics later, as havent had chance to take any yet x x

I e-mailed ******** last week and she can't make my dress, apparently it's too difficult a design to make without a personal fitting.

It isn't available in the UK and the people on the bay of e that have it for sale have the front image as an image of a similar, but not the same. dress from their collection and I'm worried they wont be able to make the front up right for me. Hm...

I got my first wedding dress for china and it fitted better than some of the shop ones without any alterations, Im planning on doing the same this time round as well as there are some beautiful dresses for such a low price. Its helped with my budget soo much. :D
