mines a china dress from online... have tried on loads but they dint look like 'my one'. then found one online and decided go with it. £79 (inc postage) and its brilliant. couldnt be happier! i admit though have carried on trying dresses on (its so much fun, think im addicted lol) but none compare to the dress i have and how 'me' it is... love it so glad its mine. i did check out the persons feedback and looked at what previous customers had to say, also i used my paypal so that if something had been wrong i had that for protection xx

r thank you... was really nervous what people would think. when it arrives its obviously quite light weight compared to those in the dress shops but it lifts right out like the picture with the underskirt. its got about 4 layers and all are stiched with high standards. my bm's are brutely honest and were shocked at the quality. one of our friends has also got one from a similar place and is equally as happy x

Ive seen two I like on the bay of E, they look lovely and one is very similar to the one I want in the shop by sincerity, but the price being so low - £62 is the lowest price Ive found for those particular dresses on there!!!

I feel like the dresses arent going to be anywhere near as good quality as one you'd buy in a shop though?

These are the two I like... The second dress is very similar to the one I want...

I've got a purple dress from china, it's heavy, but good quality taffeta, cost £63 but they don't sell that exact one anymore because I brought it 2 years ago custom made. I've got a 6 hoop petticoat from china too it's brilliant, and my tiara which is beautiful. I order a lot of things from china and always find them pleasing :)

Was a bit scared about ordering from abroad, but am on a mega budget. So pleased that I did! Thinking of ordering my own dress from them now xxxx

    My BM dresses have arrived.

Well I am in 2 minds.....Love the style the fabric is lovely the stiching is of good quality.....BUT

There is a couple of snags - whose boobs are we meant to use? They have added an inch or 2 to the bust....Absolutely must be taken in - can only be done at the zip, so have to unpick the zip and take 2" out, then sew zip back in.....

One of the dresses has one of those tiny tiny flaws in the zip - you know the one where it looks fine, but will zip up so far then not budge! Needs replacement zip.

We accounted for heels and the dresses have come through all the same length, luckily the tallest girl is fine, but theres 5" between the girls so poor shorty is either gonna have to wear sky scraper heels or it's gonna need taking up.

I've got a quote for the zip and the taking up at £50! We've been offered a £20 discount prior to me showing any photos, so I need to photograph the girls and show how ridiqulous it is and also try get a written quote for the alterations and see how far we get with that. Maybe someone will lend us a sewing machine to take it up our selves.

If we had asked for standard size I don't think we'd have minded needing alterations, but the fact we asked for custom measurements leaves us feeling a little swizzled.

But then again we do love the dresses and once these little snags are sorted we will be absolutley fine....I am just glad we went in with an open mind and I am fairly good at negotiating.

    Wish us luck.xx

Mine are from Hong Kong, a purple company. They were £83.18 each plus P&P. I do love em, and once the bresticals are covered I'm sure they will be fine. The zip is one of those things and it could have happened to anyone, from anywhere.

I ordered mine online (not china) and its is amazing fully lined and boned. Perfect attention to detail and the stitching is flawless. And the weight!!! its so heavy! I can not tell the difference in quality from the dresses I tried on in bridal shops.
I changed my design a few times during the process and my emails were always answered quickly and politely. The dress took 4 months to arrive but I had the bodice design completely changed which added time to it.
She sent me fabric swatches. I have heard that she has charged but did not ask me for any money.
I would 100% recommend this company. I have since sent her pictures of a bridesmaid dress design and she has agreed to make it to my design. FAB!!!!

I've ordered my dress and bolero from she who must not be named! I've got to say that so far I'm impressed with customer service. Within 12 hours of placing my order I've had an email confirmation with a few questions to clear a few things up ( I wanted a particular colour and they wanted to make sure it was the right one, oh and I forgot to put the colour for the bolero), hopefully it will arrive safe and sound and be as perfect as I hope. Thanks to Annette for starting this tread and keeping on top of all the links, it has been so useful!

I wish i had known about she who shall not be named before i ordered mine, she sounds fantastic!

I ordered mine a few weeks ago, before i ordered it, i asked them whether they'd be able to bump the 5-6 week delivery time to just 4 weeks as i only had a 8 weeks to get married and i wanted it with plenty of time to sort out any problems. They assured me it could be done, but it didn't arrive on time, after much emails, i finally got it a week and a half late!

I'm not getting married for another 11 days but it doesn't leave me a lot of time to get alterations done on it, and boy does it need alterations. My OH's nan used to make wedding dresses so she did all my measurements. My dress needs at least 2 inches taken in all over, its too long and its too wide. There are some elastic straps inside that hold it in place, which is wonderful, except it makes the dress sort of orbit around me. My OH's nan says she thinks she can take it in, but its a lot of work with so little time and because its pleated everywhere with a design on the seam, its not going to be easy.

The quality of it is ok, its not perfect, some of the stitching is slightly off and the fabric isn't the best but for £70 its absolutely fantastic! It really is pretty but i'm not overly impressed that its so big and that it was so late i hardly have time to sort it out. I've spoken to the company, told a bit of a porky and said i was getting married 4 days after it arrived, and they've offered me a £10 refund to get it altered locally.

Its not the worst dress in the world, but i was kinda disappointed with it, not helped me OH's nan pointing out all the flaws with it, so my mum took me shopping and we bought this amazing ivory prom dress for £260 which is absolutely perfect!

My request for bigger discount came back with a big fat no! So I am now accepting a £20 refund on each dress. Not happy and do not recommend them at all. Please beware "Made to measure" Actually means made somewhere close to what you wanted but you'll still need alterations.

Oh Well - I still love the dresses and glad they're not off the high street.
