Im left puzzled about who you have used to order as many other brides here as well as myself have been pleased with our orders.
Maybe you could warn others by maybe putting on your wall where you got it from so anyone looking in future doesnt end up in the same situation.
If you havent already I would advise you speak to she who can not be named as she does veils as well as dresses and boleros.

I'll get some pics of the veil 2moro of what I thought I was getting and what was recieved and ill put them on my wall along with all info so everyone knows. Wouldn't want anyone disappointed by using these and expecting something lovely when it isn't.
Feel so bad as my mam is going to get the one I tried on in the shop and its £150!!! I begrudge paying that price but my mam really wants to get it for me. But I don't think it's fair that she's going to pay that much when I know I wouldn't.

I don't know who it is either lol, but keep hearing about her and need to have a look now. Might consider her for bridesmaid dresses, possibly mine, but I'm looking forward to going and trying them on in the shops
Yeah it was from bay of e. I've put the pic on my wall of the one I choose and the sellers info (not sure if I'm allowed to so that) and ill put the pics on 2moro off what came.
My mam keeps saying she really wants to get the one I tried on with my dress. She's just overly generous sometimes and I end up feeling guilty. But if she didn't want to get it she wouldn't I suppose. My mam and dad are getting my dress too, bless them. I would put a pic on of my dress but oh keeps having a neb on here and obviously don't want him to see it.
I'm looking for somewhere else for my bridesmaid dress as the one we've seen is £225 so was hoping for something a bit cheaper so if I find out who she who cannot be named is ill get price from them first.

I brought an underskirt for my dress from china...thought it was worth a shot. All i can think is im glad i didnt risk getting my wedding dress from there too. Id be suprised if it held up my nans net curtains let alone my wedding dress. I afraid im a believer in you get what you pay for. Just think and choose carefully ladies. x

I bought a cheap veil from the auction site a couple of years ago for a hen night. It was only 3 £, I think, but it was horrible. Plus it stank of fish. Totally unusable even for a hen night.

You definitely couldn't use it if it smelt. Mine was £18. I did say a few month ago I'm goin to get my dress from there but I'm relieved now that I didn't. At least I know what I'm getting with ordering it through a shop. I'm going to email the seller tomorrow and see what they have to say. I bought an outfit last year from bay of e for my daughter and it was awful so I left negative feedback and they emailed saying we could have a refund if we left positive feedback. Which I thought was really bad as everyone should know the negative and the positive. I left the negative feedback on as I'd rather be out of pocket so other people don't make the same mistake. I should have learnt from that!

Leanne that is exactly why I couldn't trust buying a china dress. I read so many ppl saying they were refunded or part refunded to leave positive/neutral feedback. Might try one one time for an evening dress but not worth it for my wedding day. It's a gamble I wasn't prepared to take x

Same thing happened with something else I bought of ebay. It wasn't wedding related, but I can't remember what it was now. I left negative feedback, they emailed me that I could have a refund if I took it back and left positive instead. Couldn't figure out how to do it, so I emailed ebay to swap my feedback and ebay refunded the money for me and reported the seller.

That really is a shame, ive got my veil from china for 99p inc p&p and its perfect, and my shoes from the bay of e too which are perfect too. Its such a shame you've drawn the short straw and been the unlucky one. I suggest order it from bay of e from someone else, it'll still be cheaper than going to a bridal shop even if you have to attempt it 50 times! xxx

My bridesmaid dresses have arrived from China and I couldn't be happier, they are very well made and fit brilliantly, one of my bridesmaids can't get over that I pay under £100 with delivery for 3 dresses especially as she says the quality is no different to the uk ones she bought at £125 each

Another success from China - I think if you have the chance and the price is right its worth a try.
I went with She Who Can Not Be Named in the end because my design I wasnt comfortable with the reaction I got from the other China sites I checked with first.
In the end the money you could save probably makes it worth a try.
Love hearing other brides having good experiences. :)

I ordered one to start to see what the quality was like, unfortunately they sent the wrong colour - i got straight on to them and they not only sent me the right colour within a week they let me keep the other one free of charge as it would cost me money to send it back.
So of all the horror stories, there are some good ones.
Just make sure you read and look at their star rating if your ordering of the bay of e - read the reviews and make an informed decision.

Kerrie - Ive ordered from She Can Not Be Named and had no issues. I have however had issues with McAfee - especially if you are using a free to download version or a version which is wanting you to upgrade for a price.
If you are really having doubts you can try to contact them via the Book of Face - or via the email address, especially if you know what you are looking to order already and just wish to makie a price enquiry.

Are all China dresses based on a designer?
I have seen a dress on ebay which I would love to try on, I'm not 100% sure I would trust ordering my wedding dress from China and I would def want to try it on or at least something similar if I was going to order. Does anyone know how I can find out what the dress is based on?

Just a bit of advise to ask for a swatch prior to ordering from she who cannot be named. I was thinking of ordering my bm dresses from her so asked for a swatch to see the colour, it came and was nothing like the actually designer's version of that colour.
I'm not saying it will always be the case but you may as well check before ordering

DonnaH39 - you will need to post it to your wall I think as only power users can add photos.
Maybe a mod would be able to post it for you as I have seen this done on other threads.
The other way could be to search on the 'g' search using the photo and it might match up with some more info.

I ordered a dress from she who can not be named, I chose the willow design by maggie sottero. When ordering I was informed the lace may be slightly different and had the option of having a plain zip back or a button back, I chose a button back. I also ordered a hop from her company. I got to try the dress on last night and its great, you really can't tell that its not the designer dress. The lace is slightly different but it's only slight and you won't even notice the different as it's that subtle. The measurements are correct from what I provided, I will have to have the dress taken up by less than an inch, but I don't see that as a major. I would definitely recommend her to anyone. I saved over a grand using her, there's a link to her on my page if any one wants it. Xx

Ive not heard a single bad story from SWCNBN - It really is worth contacting her and seeing what can be done for you - every bride deserves to have a dress which makes her feel a million dollars but doesnt actually cost her a million!!!
Tried mine on again at the weekend and really am excited to wear it on my day and show it off to everyone - especially my other half as its been soooooooooooooo hard not being able to share it with him because we have done everything else together. I know that keeping a secret will be worth the wait though and its getting so close now!

My dress arrived the other day from the Bay. It cost me £89 and I love it! I've tried it on 3 times already and I'm having to resist putting it on again. It fits perfectly (well almost, theres just about an inch too much around the shoulders, which a friend will sort for me). I know some would probably turn their noses up at it but I've never been one for designer gear and its only needed for one day so who cares about the quality etc. It looks amazing imo and makes me feel amazing and thats good enough. I can't believe I got the exact style I wanted for so little and I'm so relieved because I didn't want to have to settle for something which I felt a bit blah about like the department store bridal section. I tried to post the sellers name on another post but admin deleted, so all I can do is recommend that you check out the feedback for the sellers first (read all the comments, don't rely on the rating), especially for the item you are planning on buying :)
