    I cant belive it.

Last year I fell and badly broke my ankle, well on tues I was putting the ironing away and fell down the last few stairs. An afternoon in A&E with my dad and a few Xrays later, no break fortunately, just torn the ligaments that were healing from the break yes it is the same ankle. When I asked when i could wear heels again the reply made me cry.......at least 2 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im gutted as today its only 22 days to the wedding.

I have these beautiful diamanti sandles or I did, Im been a rebel though and wearing them to walk down the isle holding onto my dad then I will hold onto Kev at the alter all the time then back up the isle holding onto Kev have a few photos then onto the coach and then change of shoes. When we get to Horning we will have more photos but in flatter shoes so I will be able to walk on my own.

So I need to get some beautiful flat shoes. I also need to rest my foot as its swollen still and walking on crutches and I have it in a splint which i will need to wear for ages when walking. Not on the big day though lol

Oh no poor you hun, I hope that your ankle heals as quickly as possible, just make sure you ankle is strong enough though to walk down the aisle in your shoes as you don't want to end up spending your wedding day in A&E, no matter how pretty the shoes are. xx

That is such a shame and you must be gutted about the shoes, just a bit of advice I did the same thing 6 months ago and can still not wear heals!! I tried kitten heals for my cousins wedding and I only managed from the hotel room down to the ceremony room then had to get my h2b to go and get my other shoes for me. My advice would be as much as you totally love the shoes, if the doctor has said no heals for at least 2 months then don't wear them. You will put to much pressure on your ankle and possibly make the healing process take a lot longer or you could make things worse doing permanent damage to your tendons and ligaments.
After all everyone will be looking at you and not your feet! Good luck whatever you decide xx

Oh no!! Was it the james paget that you went to? If it was, just a warning! I tore the cartiledge in my knee over a year ago and was told I would be back to normal (after a small op) within a month. I still cant wear heels now for a very long time as it becomes too painful, and couldnt walk properly for 3 months! (two of those spent on crutches!) I have had many injuries and each time they have given me a recovery time which is way out from when I actually recovered! And each time the physios had told me it was going to be much longer. So go on how painful it is, not on the time frame that they suggest! But I hope you can find some nice shoes in Norwich! I am sure you will! Plus... most places seem to have the sales on atm so there may be some good bargains out there! xxx

dont forget one other thing to consider, if you go from wearing heals to flats, your dress might be too long.....

Linzi-jo it was JP last year when i broke it they showed me the xray where i had broken the bone, then the next dr said it was an old break and not new, another said it was broken. Went to physio and they said it had been. Had 5 xrays on tues and they showed me the xray and guess what it bone was healed but you could see the old break!!!!!!! I really hate going to JPH.

Raggedy my dress finishes just above the ankle so I will be ok with flats but that was a good thought, thankyou x

I dont go there anymore! When I tore the cartiledge in my knee I went to A&E and they told me I had just twisted it and sent me home and told me to carry on as usual (I was dancing at this point!) and then 4 months later I went back because it hadn't got any better and was told I had torn my cartiledge and should never have been dancing on my knee! I also had an op with them that they completely messed up and ended up in Norfolk and Norwich having to have it done again as they had done it so badly! And JPH lost all of my notes but still went ahead with the op and they never even bothered looking for them after! I go straight to Norfolk and Norwich now if anything is wrong, its 45 more minutes away but at least they treat you properly xxx
