Right so my mum, sis, n bro and their families are going away to camber sands near hastings for a week in the 6 weeks holidays. Me and h2b spoke about it and decided to go. Its costing us 455 for the chalet for the week and then we need spending money.

BUT now im worried that we are going to be loosing wedding money as we cant afford to save double what we are now. Do i cut down on what we are having for the wedding or hope for the best.

I definately want the holiday, i need it, h2b needs it andmost of all our girls need it x

go for it. you sound llike you desperately need a break, and also there is always the ability to shop around and still have a great wedding on a smaller budget. good luck xx

ry wants to go on holiday next month but i dont think we can afford it!! he thinking that if we put it on the card then we can pay it off (hopefully before we go) but im worried about the spending money too!! although it is cheaper than going away in the uk for us!! but it still a lot!!

i really need a holiday but i was chatting to my nan about mayb going away and that his mum n stepdad want to go away and all i get is grief that we wont eve get married if we keep spending money on stuff ( i havent been out since my best mates mums birthday beginning of jan and before that it was new year and that was it since before october!!! all i spend money on is my rent and bills!!! and hopefully food!!

am sick of people dictating to me what i can and cant do!! yes i know we need to save for the wedding but i dont like being guilt tripped into doing it all rushed and getting into debt just because my nan is 72 and wants great grandkids!! im seriously fed up!!!

I NEED A HOLIDAY TOO!!! lol xxx

id say go for it if you can afford it and can mayb cut back on certain bits that you dont need for your wedding??]

sorry to rant on your thread by the way!!

i would work out how much you would spend a day which i know is prob hard when you have children. but try to imagine what you will be doing and get a rough amount and then you can work out if you can afford it!

me and h2b went away 4 times last year and still managed to save for the wedding. but it was only for a few days at a time. we havent had a weeks holidays in nearly 2 years! and we went in the uk twice aswell as we couldnt afford anything else!

can you cut back on anything for example petrol for a month or so or food? i am sure you could if you really tried xx

Just go. We are going away in sept and i am doing 2 extra shifts a month to go there. I have been there and it is cheap you just have to work out that you spend a day. Do a small weeks shop there and then dont eat out everyday. Do it once or twice in the week. Going to the kids party stuff buy bottles of water and fill it with some juice to and there is there drinks. Swimming and stuff for th ekids should be free.
