After reading a story about a woman who has been set the challange of finding 1 million fb friends before her husband will marry her (she wants 11/11/11... link on my page) I wondered if anyone else's h2b had imposed any rules to the wedding?

Sounds like one of those weddings that never happens then lol, talk about a bloke dragging his feet!!
I set a limit when we got engaged to £2000... (its both our 2nd marriage so we dont wanna spend lots) so he said right you have set that - STICK to it!!
I have gone over by about £500 but i have always kept him in the picture...
I agree with Laura.. what a stuuuuupid thing to ask of someone you love.. he should want to marry her cos he loves her and wants to spend the rest of his life with her...

only rule my H2B has set me is to stick to something when I've made my mind up and not keep changing my mind. We have an agreement right now too, no wedding talk for a month, got loads of other stuff going on and its really stressing me out) I agreed to it with conditions, I got my engagement ring (will be with me in 2 weeks) new clothes, 2 CDs, and my hair and nails done :D

oh and MIL2B has very kindly offered to pay half the venue deposit for us so we can put money towards to moving house (which is going to be sooner rather than later now hopefully)

Thats just really stupid. Even if she did manage to get all them friends and they then did get married, it just wouldn't last as it sounds to me as if he really dont want to marry her.
What a joke theres no way id ever do anything like that. My oh hasnt set and rules we have just discussed all the major things together but other then that he's let me get on with it xx

H2B just wants involvement... he said the majority of the decisions will be mine but that he would like some say too since its OUR wedding. Also he wants to know how much everything costs but has been good with the money aspect and increased the entertainment budget woo woo

Oh my goodness, how ridiculous! H2B said if he can't see what I'm wearing until the day then I can't see what he is wearing..fair enough haha. Doubt he will stick to that though, he will want my opinion :)

The only condition my OH has said is that I am not allowed to get majorly stressed with everything. I have to tell him when its getting a bit much and im feeling a bit stressed and he will either deal with it or take my mind off it for a while xx

Dumb idea (my opinion)! I've got 3 conditions to adhere to, 1 - not to skimp on the day and to have whatever I wanted 2 - come in under budget (slight contradiction with 1 but hey ho) and 3 - marriage to be consummated!
