Someone made a fake fb in my name using my picture etc to make out i was threatening someone at college which was a bit hard cause it was done on my birthday & that day i was working & collecting out kitten

Thanks Kerry:) Yea I know what your saying, facebook isn't evil if you aren't doing anything wrong. I think what got me was a couple of years back I went to get my nails done (as a christmas pressie) and my beauty therapist was telling me about how happy her and her fiance were and how they were saving for a house, saving for the wedding etc and she had said at the time that she didn't have facebook as she knew it caused trouble. Anyway a month or so down the line I heard from a friend who knew her personally that she had joined facebook and had ended her 5 year relationship due to meeting an old 'friend' on facebook and getting together with him!

I realise that she couldn't have been that in love with her originally fella but it still shocked me how someone could just break off a long term relationship within weeks of being on facebook and meeting someone else! lol. Maybe I'm a little naive tho! Prob happens all the time x x x

facebook can be good,i love mine,we have so many friends all over the world and its easier to catch up with everyone there,BUT,,,,,,people do abuse it,,iv had occasions were people have used my profile to spy on me and my wedding plans in order to try and wreck it (yep my sister),,and as suzi correctly said in my tarot reading someone on there was sapping the energy from me,and yes she was,iv never know anyone to take pictures of antibiotics and upload them to show the world!!,,but i must admit i love my facebook,especially since i discovered the hide button so some peoples statuses are hidden,and i can appear off line to some people while on line to others..use it with caution but enjoy it

That sort of caper happens a lot Roxy - Friends Reunited was named the major cause of divorce in this country in 2007, people meet up with old friends and childhood sweethearts online, see the past through rose tinted spectacles and before you know it "Hello divorce courts" As I said, silly people with their brains in their undies (absolutely no offence if anyone who reads this does happen to be a divorcee remarrying to their childhood sweetheart due to FB or FR - sweeping generalisation!!)
Of course, it wasn't Facebook that put me and Ross back in touch...............honest :S

Kerry it was pathetic, h2b sent my college tutor a page long email lol saying what happened to innocent till proven guilty etc but the thing that peeved me off the most was when the fake fb page was set up the person who did it was crap at spelling & used text speak & everyone who knows me knows i hate text talk & that i make sure my spelling is right but college still didnt believe me, even when i was in tears to the woman dealing with my disciplinary, i said to her if i did do it would i have been in tears etc?
