I was wondering if anyone has bought there dress second hand? I have found one that I like but new it costs £1,300 a little bit over what I had budgeted!lol.
Not sure if I'm allowed to mention the dress and designer...but it's by Rosetta Nicolini style is Shanessa.
I have found a couple on pre-loved, I emailed the sellers 2 days ago and still not heard anything back, probably me just being impatient but I would guess they have probably sold already :(.
There's also one on the bay of e with a buy it now price of £700 but the auction is running for about another 28 days or something so will see how that one pans out.
Any advice for finding the dress at the right price gratefully received.

Thanks luvlifejen at least I know I'm not alone.xxx
My friends just say if it's 'the one' then just get it, they aren't getting married and don't have 2 young children so the concept of a budget is a little alien to them lol.

Hun go for it, it isnt like people are wearing them cleaning the house or going about day to day, it's worn once and that's it. You'll still feel great in it whether you spend £700 on one that's been worn once or £1300 on brand new xx

Lots of ladies on here have bought second hand dresses, from £50 up! I would have no issues buying second hand if it meant I was getting 'the one'. I would also look around the sales in bridal shops as you still have lots of time. Lots of ladies have also had copy dresses made from China etc Good luck finding something!

I brought my dress second hand from ebay and I love it. It was in perfect condition and came in a beautiful box. It also came with a tiara.I'm really happy with it and like jill says it's only been worn once. Think of the money you could save and spend on something else.

Thanks girls, I shall continue my quest to find it second hand.

I'm not sure about the China deal only because I worry about my shape changing and then having it altered. My youngest is 10 months old and I'm still hopefully that I may achieve the elusive size 8 again lol. In reality I settle for the size 10 I am now with some stomach muscles!

I ended up buying the dress that I'm going to wear off the peg - it was a sample (as I didn't just go with my gut instinct at the time and ended up ordering another, so by the time I'd changed my mind it had been discontinued!) It's been cleaned by the shop and it is pristine! Sooo happy with it and I got it for a song :) I was totally against anything other than a brand new dress but I've changed my mind (again!).

I still need to collect it..should be collecting it in the next couple of weeks. The lady emailed this morning to say all ok for the pick up (no money will exchange until the pick up).
She emailed me early this avo to say she is in labour and off to the hospital so once she is out and settled will pick it up and put some pics up. I have put a link on my wall to the dress as you see it on Berketex website...doesn't really do it justice...for some reason they have cut half the back off! If you google it though some good images come up.
