Hello ladies, me and H2B are working on a budget and i am quite taken with the idea of going to morocco, it looks lovely, quite cheap to go, and we've never been. It will be April next year so i still have to check what kind of weather to expect but as long as that comes up ok i quite fancy going. Has anyone been? would it be a good honeymoon?

we've just been to Marrakech for our honeymoon. The hotel was fab but we hated the city. It was way too intimidating. A lot of begging, loads of motorbikes(even in pedestrian areas) and we just couldn't relax in the souks cos any sign of interest had the sellers at you straight away trying to get you to buy. We were all inclusive at our hotel so didn'y spend a great deal while we were there

yes ive been to tangir and marrakech. tbh tangir is more touristy bigger hotels and marrackech has more culture. its not the nicest of countrys dirty, busy, very bustling and you have to be rude and say no very sternly or you will get dragged in to buy stuff. same as egypt tunisa and most arab countires (no offence) but it is lovely in a way if you like culture and trying different things then yes its lovely to a point , i like beach holidays but also love trying local foods (i should be a food critic!!) if you are at all squemish then its not the place for you ( i seen a man squat and take a dump on the side of a road!!!!) but if you intend to stay inside the hotel then there are some decent ones there and tip well as you will be treated like kings and nothing will be too much bother!. april will be hot 22ish but not as hot as july august where it can reach 40!! oh and can get cold at night xx

I have to agree with the girls if you want more than sitting in a hotel resort then they are not the best of countries to go for a wander. The best thing to do is have a word with some of your local travel agents and they can advice you on the best places to go for that time of year and also any deals that they have on etc. Most of the time they will give you a discount if you make it clear to them that it is your honeymoon and they will arrange for free upgrades. The sooner you book though the more likely you are to get upgrades where as if you leave it until last minute you get what is left.
