I've been to Cayo Coco in Cuba it was beautiful! The only thing i'd say is the food is not the bets - it's not terrible but not that much choice, although that could've just been where I was. The beach is out of this world and the people are lovely. We also went on a trip to Havana and saw the Club Tropicana dance show - that was honestly one of the best nights of my life! You get a bottle of rum and a cigar on your table ha ha and by the end of the night every single person thinks they can salsa!! I had a great time in Cuba.

Why is the rum always gone?

it's Varadero I've been looking at in the brochures, I don't think our budget can stretch to sandals charges though.

We went to Varadero 4 years ago- I agree about the food- its not great but its ok. Cocktails and cigars were the best!! We got to swim with dolphins, go to Havana etc. Was a great holiday!! XX

I went in 2005, guardalavaca, it was amazing fairly quiet at the resort but we went on several day trips even flew to havannah for a day and went swimming with dolphins. Food is good but basic you have to remember that Cuba doesnt import food what you get to eat is what they grow or breed in cuba hence limited choice, plenty of fresh fruit, salad, meat. I absolutely loved and would reccommend it to anyone. I havent been to varadero but I believe its a bit more built up than where I went.

i just came back from there it was our honeymoon..fantastic place,we stayed at sol cayo guillermo, thats the cayo coco island.food was not good but like billy said they dont import it and the's nothing out of you complex.beaches are to die for an the sea is warm.but i would not go back to the same resort as you are far out an have to travel a lot if you are doin anything like trips etc....i would defo go to varadero as its a busier place an you can go out at night and is also nearer to the trips like dolphins an stuff xx

Hi, were booked to go to cuba for our honeymoon. Ive heard nothing but good feedback about Cuba. Tripadvisor is great as you get to read real reviews of hotels.

I went there about three years ago - playa pesequero in guardalavaca. I loved the holiday. The resort was all inclusive and the people were so friendly and I also felt really safe out there. The sea was amazing and so clear and I definately recommend swimming with dolphins. Sandals have some good deals at the moment - half price depending on dates.

we went to cuba in october 2008 which is where we got engaged. Stayed in varadero and it was really nice. There isnt loads to do but i would recommend the havana trip with the tropicana show, was fab. We also swam with dolphins(pics on profile) and did the catamaran trip where they take you to a private island for the day which is beautiful.
Cuba was nice but i feel once you've been there, theres no reason to go back as i feel i did and saw everything.
    Hope that helps!!
p.s the beaches look like they do on the postcards.

I've heard that it is beautiful place to go... but my mum works for Virgin Holidays and they get a lot of complaints about food poisoning. Always be careful what you eat, whenever we go to the caribbean we try to avoid chicken just incase. xx
