M2Bs Mum phoned him last night he hasnt spoken to her in ages as they are not that close.I have only met her once and she loved me so everytime he speaks to her she asks about me and if he is looking after me proparly as he doesnt want to lose a lovely girl like me. So when he told her we were getting married yesterday and told her the date I expected a better reaction that what have you booked anything and set a date are you sure ? lol
It upset us both a little to be honest I expected her to be happy :-(

sounds like shes reluctant to let him go,,id just let it fly over your head,dont back down and carry on with your plans,the sooner she sees how things are coming together the sooner shel understand yes its for real

It does put a downer on you when family can't get excited for you hun! when we phoned family and told them i got "are you pregnant?" off one of my aunties and "oh that's nice" off my mum! It really got to me. and i tried to not let it get to me, and after a few day i had got over it and now my auntie is asking alot more questions and being more involved, think it was a bit of a shock to them as i am the first neice on that side of the family to get married and nothave children before hand!!

dont take any notice of her hun, my H2B family get like that as well, when we told his nan i was preg she looked at him and said what did u go and do that for your life will never be the same, and when we told her about the wedding she said it was a stupid idea and a waste of money. his mum is only now starting to beileve that we are getting married, so dont worry about it hun, its about u and the man u love not her, enjoy your planning and just enjoy each other xxx

Thanks Tiggs It just did my head in.Neither her or H2Bs dad (They are divorced) are very supportive of him so I hoped she would at least be a bit nicer about this. He hasnt told his Dad yet he has told him we have got engaged but not that we have set the date I hope he is nicer about it lol

You both CANNOT or SHOULD NOT let 1 persons lack of enthusiasm 'pee on your wedding petunias' ... WHATEVER her issues.they are HERS..and if she wantes to 'fix' them then she needs to speak up.
