I got married at the Sitwell Arms Hotel in derbyshire, abouslty perfect :) xx

I've never been to a wedding there but it is beautiful and would make a beautiful background for photos. Might be worth asking which areas are closed to the public if you marry there otherwise you could have ramblers and stuff in the background!

No worries. Glad you can make use of them - I would love to have had someone do that for me! haha... it was a right pain! I'm also a cheap skate bride so those venues were out of my budget. You'll also notice there are some not so weddingy venues in there - I didn't use the W word in my correspondence as that makes the price rocket - It really annoys me! What is the difference to them if you are just partying or partying in a white dress??? grrr... rant over :)

No worries - I'm very organised at things like that... organising my computer bookmarks - but then other things like the house are completely unorganised!

If you can think of any companies that print on material/canvas for our evening invites in the area? Have got one company but it's not the cheapest....? I think most other things are sorted now :) Where about's do you live?

Ooooh - I also noticed that my friend has just booked Mansfield Manor for a bargain £1,500 including meal and buffet!

im getting married and the west retford hotel, one of my friends had her wedding breakfast and evening reception at South Forest that was nice or my cousin had her wedding breakfast and evening reception at The Red Brick House that was really nice.... How far into nottinghamshire do you want? xx

i work in the chesterfield area but live in Ollerton, I enquired about the clumber park hotel aswell for my wedding but I had my heart set on the west retford hotel. My H2B is a chef and the place he used to work at in Edwinstowe did wedding breakfasts and evening receptions as does the place he works now in Ollerton. There are lots of lovely venue's out there, do you have a budget for your venue? - amount of guests it needs to hold etc xx

If you're on a budget - My best friend is from Kirkby and they got married at Mansfield registry office which is really pretty; I was pleasantly surprised, it has a large lawn which gave a lovely back drop to her photos.
My OHs cousin got married at Newstead Abbey which is lovely but their were a lot of non-wedding people around but they do corner of the areas where the wedding is happening, I think it is mega expensive though.
