Happy New Year to you all Ladies, 2011 was a hectic year that seen us with many many fabulous weddings with some (justified) tears and tantrums along the way. All the Mods want to wish you all the best for the year ahead and look forward to extending our little "family" with even more new members.

And now as promised we will reveal the winners of the UKBride Members of the Year 2011 awards!!!!!!!!!!

We have chosen 9 members who have stood out this year, it wasn't easy as there are so many wonderful ladies on here, so if your name isn't on here, or you don't agree with any choices please don't be offended, as I say it wasn't an easy task deciding.

UKBride's Couple of the Year: Jill and Richard (aka Jilly17 and Honest John) - Both are amazing people who contribute a lot to the site, Jill with her honest opinions and constant advice and Richard for his "Male perspective" advice and for making us laugh!

Most contributing UKBride: Terri Barker - For always being around to give just the right advice when it's needed be it wedding or non-wedding related. And always being around for a bit of a chit chat. Terri is loved by everyone on the site.

Most Resilient UKBride: mummy2Olivia_Lisa - Lisa has had one hell of a year between a gorgeous little princess who couldn't wait to arrive so decided to come along early and less than supportive husband, Lisa has still come back fighting and is now in a happier relationship, with an adorable little girl who makes her world complete.

Most Un-Organized UKBride: MrsQ (Weegie) - For an outstanding performance of leaving things to the very last moment possible (including invites) but still managing to pull it all together in time minus any disasters that should be expected when being to criminally dis-organised.

Most Inspirational UKBride: Karlie1976 - Karlie started a weight loss thread back in 2010 encouraging members to share their experiences and share weigh in details. As well as that Karlie started her own thread with photos documenting her weight loss by showing how her dress fitted month by month. Her determination and support of others makes her a true inspiration.

Most Alternative UKBride: LittleMissBossy - Pia is having a Vintage 50's themed wedding. This isn't just a theme for her though as she is, in her words, "a vintage enthusiast". Her ideas are interesting and great to read about. Her wedding is sure to be a fantastic one

Most Generous UKBride: Ataraxia - Ataraxia has been a member of this site for some time, she has always contributed a lot of time and advice and as a result was a candidate for New Moderator earlier this year. Her sweet and generous nature are the reason why she is winning this award. As some of you may know she recently donated the wedding rings she bought to another member, Kat831, after winning new rings in the monthly power user prize draw.

Most Documented UKBride: Croc - Kellie-Anne was wed in June and in the run up to her wedding kept us well informed with her plans, with her threads on her ideas and inspiration, and probably her most popular thread, the one about her beautifully stunning cake that she made herself!

Long Standing UKBride: Hails - We (we being all the mods aside from Hails) have decided to award this title to Hails, she has been on this site a long time and as I always say we're not just Mods we're members too. Hails is always around to give out great advice, support and encouragement. She hasn't been able to come on lately as she is in the middle of moving house and the place isn't the same without her. So we want to take this opportunity to recognise not just a great moderator but a great member too.

These ladies will win 5,000 points each as a reward. But that's only 9 awards I hear you say... well we have had an alternative idea to the 10th award:

We want to Award something with over all UKBride of 2011, and we thought it only fair to give you guys the vote. There is a poll with each of the above candidates names so you can vote for any of them, or a 10th option for "Other" which will be like a "write in vote" so if you wish to choose someone else for UKBride of 2011 just select other and post the name of the person you'd like to vote for underneath.

Congrats to all our winners, you deserve it.
