I've come off my implant and I've been taking conception pregnacare and I'm wanting my body to get into a natural rhythm, it's seriously boosted the libido! Anyhow, we've an appointment to go and see a geneticist as I have congenitalpseudoarthrosis (localised bone disease) and I should have neurofibromatosis with it but I don't that's why I'm uber unique lol... The hosp appt isn't until September :( I was hoping to properly start trying around then but gonna have to wait. I don't think I could pass anything on as my mum said it's a freak gene mutation and she was told that when I was a baby. Just feeling it a bit as my bestie has a two yr old and is trying for another and my other bestie is due with her first baby in August...
Thanks xxx

Fingers crossed the geneticist confirms there is little to no risk. How long after the hospital appointment will you get the results? Use the time to just enjoy being a couple because once you get that BFP nothing will be the same again. There's no such thing as too soon when it comes to preconception prep and if you're taking the prenatals already you're going to have a great store of vitamins and nutrients for your body to draw on when baby is on board, rather than the 3 month store the doctors recommend as a minimum. The time before the geneticist gives you the go ahead on project baby is a great time to get as healthy as possibe by setting goals to achieve before you start TTC - you could maybe cut out alcohol one month, the next you could maybe also increase the amount of exercise you do, then maybe work on limiting your caffiene intake to one or two cups a day - getting into baby friendly habits (gradually) now means it will be less of a shock to the system once you hit the baby jackpot.
