I met with 2 florists today and I was quite impressed with the first they are the venues preferred florist and its them that do any floral arrangements included in the package IE centrepieces However once I met the second lady I wasn't that impressed with the flower shop we went to first.
The second lady had asked to see a picture of my dress and then suggested a shower would probably be best to elongate me and not make me look so round as the skirt is really big (She meant it in a nice way not as in a your fat way) as a hand tied is round it makes everything round iygwim.
She has showed me loads of different photos of various brides with both bouquets she has said that both would look great with my dress but im now torn as I thought I 100% knew what I wanted to now thinking im not sure.
Me in my dress
What I thought I wanted Hand tied
SHower but id have white/ivory roses
H2b's buttonhole
Other guys buttonholes
Ok so looking at my dress what flowers would you choose Shower or Hand tied?
Also would it bother you getting your centre pieces etc from one florists and your bouquets from another The 2nd woman I saw said she will tell me she will deliver my flowers at noon however ig its roasting hot she will deliver as close to half an hour before so that the flowers are the freshest she can get them for us walking down the aisle.

I prefer handtied but that's just me. I have yet to look into florists so this could change, but I do like that bouquet style. I'm not sure about using 2 different florists as this could overcomplicate things, but you seem very organised so I'm sure you'll get this ironed out.

I prefer a largish hand tied. The shower can elongate your look. I was originally thinking about a shower bouquet as I'm quite broad, but I'm having a large hand-tied of peonies and David Austin roses instead

I prefer hand tied so that is what I am having. My venue is using a different florist to the one who will be doing my church flowers buttonholes etc x

My personal preference is handtied ...........biased as I had that, my sister had that and other brides at weddings I've been to have had them too.

I haven't voted as I don't know much else about your wedding and I think i'd choose a style to go with the overall theme aswell as looking nice with my dress. Personally I chose a hand-tied posy as my wedding is informal with a church ceremony and village hall reception, and I always associate shower bouquets with a more formal wedding in a hotel or stately home for example. Both are equally lovely but I'd say it depends on a few other factors. I really don't think a hand held bouquet would make you look round though! If it does then I'll look round too as my dress is a similar style...love your dress by the way xx

I had a princess style dress and I hope I didn't look round. I don't think I did.

I think had tied look more modern, the teardrop flowers were used a lot more in 90's and early 00 weddings... Could make ur photos look slightly dated... That's my opinion anyway x

I'm having a teardrop bouquet, I love the fuller ones personally, but for roses I would go for hand tied as based on that image they look quite 'dropped' x

Thanks everyone it's great to get everyone's opinions and experiences.
Tbh I'm not any closer to making a decision the people that were with me on sat all said a shower would look better but I just don't know so I'm going to take a few days and get so me pictures of a similar dress to mine and see what a couple of my other friends think too. Would love to get h2bs opinion but don't want to spoil the surprise of the dress.
Joey we are getting married in a country hotel over looking the firth of Clyde it's a beautiful location and it's quite a formal affair.
The picture of the shower isn't the best it it's all I could find the other night.

Still cant make up my mind lol.
I know which of the two florists im going with. The woman Lisa was so professional and nothing was a bother She met with us after she had the busiest day of her career (2 massive weddings and 2 events) and she was going on holiday the day after she met us.
The other florist hasn't even bothered to email me my quote yet and Ive asked her to give me a quote for both hand tied and shower and she hasn't even acknowledged that email. Actions speak louder than words.
I have a few weeks to decide what I would like to order or I could book her and decide at a later date

Just had another look at your dress and bouquet and we both think you should go with the shower bouquet, definitely not a round one with that dress :)
