I like wearing a beehive and it's a fairly fast but effective hairdo and a great canvas for pretties like your headpiece.
Might be just the angle - it looks a tad uneven but very pretty. Personally I would not havd the long strands on the side - just a blunt even fringe or all swept to one side.
Great choice of hair do!

No padding? If you have fine hair backcombing will never last. A hairdresser should know this??
I have very fine hair and backcombing is fairly pointless because it won't last. I section off a strand across my head and twist it and put it to the side. Then I put the back of my hair into a french twist. Next I secure the padding on top of the french twist - then I take the sectioned off bit and backcomb it but smooth it out at the front and carefully bring it over the padding. I tuck the ends in and secure everything with kirby grips. The hair spreads out over the padding and any wobbly bits I tuck in and secure again with a kirby grip. At the back where the tucked in hair meets the french twist you would put a veil - I always stick some big decoration on it :-)
I spray the heck out of it and it's rock solid and lasts all day - even braved the strong winds recently.

Looks lovely. Get the hairspray on it lol xxx

Oh it looks lovely!! :)....my dress is grecian with a really detailed back so i was thinking about having a beehive too cos i hate having my hair flat to my head.
Thanks for the tip LittleMissBossy......ill have a word with my hairdresser if she doesnt say anything about padding cos mine definitely wont hold up alone. I tried it recently for a ball i went to and it was flat before i even left the shop! Though that was a different hairdresser who I think was probably still training so....
Anyway SophieLou I love the hair and your headband is gorgeous too!!

It looks lovely - love your headband :) If its already falling out maybe contact the hairdresser for another trial?you can give her lmb's tips x
CommentAuthorFutureMrsPite
lovely style and does suit u, although i dont think theres much point in a hair trial if shes not going to do it as good as if it was the day and promise to do it higher on the day as then u might aswell have just talked to her about it and not had a trial and she would have said what she could do then, a trial is her chance to show u, shouldnt be loose, hope u or she doesnt take offence to my comment, i just think if ur going to pay for a trial then it hould be treated as if its ur day as they cant say on ur day i will do it better next time, do u know what i mean? looks gorge though, def a good choice, especially the headband! x :)

CommentAuthorMrs Cerutti2b
Love the headband, very cute style! but do think if its feeling loose, you should get in touch with her, to see about another trial. You don't want to risk it, its your big day, and you don't need to be worrying that your hair style is going to fall out! But it does look lovely! Really hope you get something sorted with your hair dresser :) x
CommentAuthorSweetchilli
Your hair and headband are lovely.
CommentAuthorMrsSophieFoster
thanks for all your comments im going to have a word with her tomorrow because im not overly happy and feel if she charged me for another trial id be rather miffed and futuremrspite i agree that she should have done it as good as on the day but im too nice to say anything to anyone and just complain to H2B afterwards. littlemissbossy thanks for the tip im going to try and have a go at it myself with your tips to see if its any better because my hair is fine x

I look if I find a good online tutorial - I am sure there's a good one on YouTube.
There's a book "Style me vintage" by Belinda Hay - it's not the best vintage hairstyling book on the market but it's very reasonably priced and has nice beehives in it. Have a look on Amazon.

Its a really nice style and suits you, especially with the headband but im with the others, let her know you are not happy. The last thing you want is to be dancing away in the evening and bits are falling out x

CommentAuthorJilly17
it is lovely but yes I agree with earlier posts if you have paid for a trial you should have what you want and not be told she will do it 'better' later. You do suit and your head band is lovely!!!
CommentAuthorLisa Ramos
I agree with other people, that it suits you but she should do it to a standard you are happy with. Surely the point of a trial is to see what suits you and showcase their standard of work?

i love the style, but i agree with others, i would call her back and say your a bit worried if it doesn't go to plan on your wedding day about the more puffy bit. I think you really need padding, your hair looks very fine and backcombing won't last all the way through the nite. I just think you don't need to be stressed on your wedding day, after all you just paid for a hair trial and she never competed the job xxx sorry for being so blunt but i am a perfectionist i think and always over analyse things xxx

I agree it looks gorgeous and your hairdresser should have done it more securely, however, my friend had her hair like tha (with padding on the day) it looked stunning and didnt nice an inch on the day but her trial was not ax high and a bit looser. No padding either.
I would still speak to your hairdresser though

thanks everyone iv messaged the hairdresser on facebook, i fell like i should have another trial to feel comfortable that its going to go how i want it on the day because i hate feeling as tho im critisisng anyone but if its gonna cost me another £30 for another trial it's gonna be an expencive game and thinking should i try and find another hairdresser? xx

well exactly, the trial is to show you how it will be on the day. I suppose it depends if you trust her or not to deliver. See what she says when she gets back to you and see of for example she agrees to do another trial with padding at reduced cost to reassure you.
CommentAuthorMrsSophieFoster
I just had a message back from the stylist she is going to do me another trial for just ten pounds to make sure we can perfect the style so when its all done i will get you updated pics x
