AAArgh! I'm having a hair nightmare!! I went to my hair trial and it was a total disaster! I rarely ever wear my hair up and really never have. I tried to convince myself that a pro could actually put my hair up in a nice way that didn't make me look disgusting but no! There is a reason i've not worn my hair up out of the house for the past 25 years!!!

So, despite the fact that it'll be all straggly and annoying by about 5 in the evening i've no choice to wear it down. She's going to put be rollers in so it's all poofy and slightly make it half up - well more like - a bit up so i don't have to keep brushing it off my face. The next dilema.... she kept quizzing me about what I'm going to put in my hair and saying "when you come back for the next trial bring what you want in your hair with you" (bless she is giving me another trial free - probably because I spent most of Saturday's one crying)

So... for someone who hair accessorises stops at a hair colour bobble... what on earth do I put in my hair! I've looked in wedding shops and departmetnts online but so many wedding bits are sooo expensive, i don't want to buy anything because i have no idea whether it will look ridiculous or even be suitble for a kinda half up half down hair do!

I am so stressed! Ever time I think about hair or hair accessories it makes me really cross or just like crying and saying I don't want to do it! I know that's ridiculous but I just am lost for what to do!

Help! Please someone tell mé what i'm suppossed to put in my hair! I don't want a tiara and I don't want anything to fussy or blingy. My dress is lace all over with a few sparkly pearly bits.

Sorry to rant folks. It's either plead for help and have a rant about it or cry at the mo!! xxx

    Lizzy. x

    First off. Breathe!

Secondly. No your hair wont be straggly by 5pm. I had my hair half up half down in lose curls all day. I got married at 12. My hair was done by 11am. and was still looking good at 12 midnight & again at 4am for the wake up call when the fire alarm went off!!!
I refused to wear a hair up do for the same reason you dont - i never have my hair up, and on my big day i wasnt going to change to fit the 'norm' as it were!!!

You can get lots of small tiaras or hair clips that can just sit nicely on the side or attach to the hair where its gathered half up / down. are you having a veil? if so that will sit nicely above where your hair gathers - how mine did, so that hid the grips and what not without any issues. I had a tiara but if you dont want one you dont have to.
If you dont want anything in your hair you dont have to either. G00gle simple wedding hair down for loads of pics of brides with nothing in!! and still look as gorgeous!!!
You can get small pearl ended grips that could always be put into your hair in different areas along the half up/down bit?

Main thing is breathe and not to panic! the perfect hair do is out there for you, i promise!!! xx

Most wedding shops will let u have a little go with their accessories in store....then maybe u could look on eBay or etsy for a cheaper alternative?x

Do you have any friends/ family who wore something in their hair when they got married? Could you try theirs on and maybe use as your something borrowed? I'm having mine down as I'd usually wear it so I'm comfortable with a side tiara. They have lovely things in accessorize and debenhams, could you buy a few try at home and have a play and take back the ones you don't want to keep? Xx

awww bless its always hard having something your not use to if you don't like it all up then pinning it back slightly is just as nice a style and will make you feel more like you. if you use a good shampoo or conditioner the night before you hair will look good all day if you don't want anything big and blingy the little pins are the best bet they will catch the light but not be to much. you can get them off ebay for a few pounds or high street shops usually have them in to x

try hair grips or spirals that have sparkles or pearls on the end or even just a small comb designed to finish off a hair style. All can be found cheap on the bay for less than a few £££'s.

Don't panic about anything. Look on gum tree and see if you can find a student who wants to do bridal hair and offer her/him say £50 and ask if they can do maybe 5 styles for that so that you can see what you might like/suit but ask for a mixture of up and down styles. They get experience and a few pictures for their portfolio and you get cheaper than average hair trials...you make sure you get pictures of each and go back to your original hair and make up artist and ask them to re-create since you seem to already have a good relationshio wtih her xx

panic ye not... I can't curl my hair for love nor money - my hairdresser curls it with straighteners and, believe me, it holds in (especially if you don't wash it on the day - the natural oils make the curls last longer)... in fact I can have it done at the hairdresser on a Saturday and it's still got the curls in on a Sunday (I've got bra-strap length hair, very straight and fine, but there's a lot of it). I'm have a boufff at the crown, pushed up and finished with grips, and the back and sides curled, I'm having a comb in the back to hide the grips - I had mine made and it only cost 60 squids but there are lots and lots of lovely combs out there and the bay of e is your friend..

    you'll be fine :)

Like the others said don't panic - i had my hair mostly down and curly and it was fine all day - there are some lovely vintage hair clips about which you'd probably be surprised how nice they look in your hair - here was one I had and it looked lovely in my hair

Err, who said you have to wear something in your hair? You don't have to if you don't want to.
Or what about a flower to match your bouquet? Simple might be the way forward

I agree with Amy, a nice flower that matches your colour scheme would be nice if you don't want anything too fussy! Try not to panic, I know it's easier Said than done but try and stay calm, best way to do that is have a extra large glass of wine ;-) lol! Good luck Hun xxx

You don't have to have anything in your hair if you don't want. But if you do, have you looked at veils? You could also get a cute little clip or a flower to put in it? Did you try having bits of your hair down at the sides of your face? If i have my hair up, I don't like to have it all scraped off my face!

You could even go to the shop you bought your dress from and ask to try on the hair accessories while wearing the dress so you can see what would go with it perfectly

    Good Luck x
