I've had a quote off a hairdresser to do mine and my 3 adult bridesmaids hair on our wedding day inc a free trial for me and trials for my bms, then an extra £10 for her to get from manchester to Bolton....so the whole amount would be £162.50 I told my sister and she was gobsmacked, saying it was really expensive?!? What do you guys think? I thought it was quite reasonable, even though im on a very tight budget! Should I shop around? Thanks ladies xxx

I think thats quite cheap, you could pay less but then you would probably pay for the trials and it would probably cost more all together

That's good, I'm a hairdresser and I can only go with what prices are like in south Devon where I am, that's a good price down here it be over £200.

that i think is cheap esp including trails as that adds to the price..... iv managed to get mine for £200 n thats for me n 3 adults n 4 teenagers n 2 junior bms includes trail but shes just started n her profile is great but the more she'll do the more expensive she'll become so i think the price is great xxx

I think that is a good price. Mine for me, MOH, MOB and 3 x fg = £130 Free trials (as many as i want) as she is a friend so i have mates rates I think your price is really good

it sounds quite reasonable! how many of you are there thou? my best m8 ist getting married this august and us bm's have been quoted £40 trial and £50 on the day! there are 4 of us so thats £200 straight away and shes still to do ash's hair and her mums!

i do wedding hair my self hun and i think thats a good price i am lucky as my MOH does wedding hair as well so it wont b costing me for mine and ma BM hair witch is handy ......one thing less to pay for :)

That seems cheap to me! Mine charges £50 just for a single hair-up; so I'm guessing it will cost me about £100 inc trial plus travel (which I reckon they'll charge about £50-60 for); so, about the same as you're saying but just for me lol. But I'm in the London area and London hairdressers aren't cheap.
But yeah, I'd be jumping at £160 for me plus 3 BMs.

ilivcakes: I'm in the Greater London area. Haidressers in my town are SO expensive; there are a couple of cheaper places, but they don't really specialise in hair-ups. I've been going to my hairdressers for years and they're very good; I'm determined that my regular one will do my hair for my wedding even if it means paying £60 for a taxi to get her to and from the venue lol, because she's done hair-ups for me loads of times and is amazing :-) But yeah, it's not a cheap salon, I need foils doing again soon which will set me back £150!! (gulp!).
Whereabouts do you live? And have you tried mobile hairdressers?

I think its quite reasonable as some people charge £100 for bride only so definitely good price.

thanks guys, ive provisionally booked her but think im going to look around too. its very difficult because I live an hour from where im getting married so I dont know anywhere over there. think I'll just get a few more quotes before settling. My sister got married 3 years ago and only paid £100 for herself...hair and makeup, 4 adult bridemaids and 3 flowergirls! :O i did tell her that was VERY cheap but no harm in looking around i suppose! xx

no, i think ive got a friend coming to do my make up, shes just a mobile hairdresser anyway so doesnt do make up too! ive had a good google today and found an actual hairdressers in Bolton who will do a trial for just me, come to the venue and do mine and my 3 adult bms hair all for just £75 :-) woop woop! happy with that! xxx

Thats quite alot, ive got a mobile one she is charging me £200 for 6 bridesmaids hair and my make up with a trial as well. so for yours thats quite alot.
