have started getting quotes for hair and make-up for me, mum and 3 bridesmaids. I got one quote for both at £350 on location. Its two girls that work together free-lance.
just got another quote, from the salon I normally get my hair done at, and they are very good. But I think its REALLY expensive? Hair at salon would be approximately £146 which includes your bridal trial Hair on location would be approximately £146 plus your out of salon charge of 2.5 hours @ £40 each stylist = £200 However I will offer your 2nd stylist HALF PRICE on location cost if you dont mind sharing some images with us. reduced out of salon cost £150 + hair £146 = £296 this includes travel expences and full location insurance plus I will offer you and a bridesmaids a FREE trial Have you had your trial yet so I can explain how it works? We would arrive at 9/9.15 and finish around 11/11.15. we also include some bubbly for the group and chocs :-)
am I being unrealistic with my pricing??? £296 for 2 stylists on location seems expensive...........

that is expensive....... whenever you add the word wedding onto a question the price bumps up, i went and got a quote for me and my mum for a trial each and on the day at home and is was £145 total, we told them we were going to a wedding. a friend called them and asked about it being the same but being bride and mother of the bride and they said £235 total, for exactly the same thing!!!! as far as im concern i no im conning it a bit but technically its only a white lie....i am goin to a wedding!!! lol mine!!! x x x

yeah, also wouldnt want them taking photos of me before my make-up was done. And if they are leaving at 11am then it wont be done by then, as ceremony not until 2pm!

I got a few quotes, and some were REALLY expensive (£1500 for 5 of us) and some much more reasonable. definitely get a few more quotes.

we have been told anywhere from 450 on location for me, mob and 3 bm's. Could be as much as 600 :( He doesnt know until he looks at requirements but he will stay with us all day. dont know if that helps.

I know that on book of face there is a group about weddings (local to me) and there are always hairdressers and make up artists advertising. I don't know whether there will be a local group for your area, but it's worth having a good search on there. I put an advert asking for bridal packages and the ones that have got back to me I have asked to email me photos of their work, before I commit to a trial.

im just gunna go get my hair pinned up what it usually cost about £50 but tell them its for ya wedding will cost alot more so am gunna have same pin up but not tell em its for wedding x

Im a hairdresser and i charge £35 per person. My make up is £65 per person .I thought that was quite alot x
