    I've had many different types of hair extensions for years with no problems at all. I now put extensions in for others and its not the bond or the braid that damages your own hair, but taking them out. You should get them removed by a professional with the correct equipment and you should have no problem. Individual bonds wil give you much more versatility in style although they'll take much longer to put in and cost more. Micro rings are a really good option if you have thicker hair, and they do even less damage.
