okay, so this is the dilemma. I live in Burnley. I'm getting married in Mancheser, which is an hour away or so. I'm staying over at the venue the night before otherwise I'll turn up to the hotel covered in dog fur and with my cat clingin to dear life to the train cos he thinks it's a toy bought for him... am i better getting a mobile hairdresser from Burnley to travel over to there (and they can do the trial in my house) or is it better to get one from manchester to come over here for the trial and then they can come to the hotel or is it better to get a hairdresser who has a salon and travel to them on the say i get married?
and when i'm asking them about trials and things what should i be asking them!??!!?

Hey, I'm in the same situation....I live in glasgow and im getting married in largs which is about 1 hour away. I've decided to get a hairdress from largs to come to my hotel on the day. For hair trials i'll be travelling down to get them done. . . i think it could be more costly to get someone from your home to go to manchester. But then you might be the same in costs getting someone from manchester to come to your home for trials.
Just ask what way they think you would suit your hair, regarding your face shape. how will it look by the end of the night...
Hope this helps :)

I think you should get a hairdresser who is local to where you are getting married, all sorts could go wrong if you book one from your area and then they don't turn up for whatever reason. But as far as the hair trial goes it would probably be cheaper for you to go there for the trial, otherwise they will charge you for travel costs. But they should be happy to come to hotel on the day for your hair, you don't want to be going out to a salon when you could be relaxing in your room! And they tend to ask you a lot of questions, but it would be handy to take a pic of your dress to show them as she will style your hair to suit the dress too. If you are having a veil or vine etc. let them know about that so they can work around it. x

Dove that's a really good price! I've just phoned one hair dresser and they said their wedding pin ups trials start at £50! I'm hoping that my friend (who went to college and did hair) will do 2 of the bridesmaids and her cousin who is a PROFESSIONAL hair dresser will do the other 2 and possibly me if i can't find a hairdresser that quotes me a reasonable price.

I've just phoned a hairdressers and was greeted with a "hello" and i had to ask if it was the hairdressers i was trying to reach as i thought i'd dialled a wrong number and had phoned someone's house and she said "yeah." and i asked if they did wedding hair and she said and i quote "we don't have time to do wedding hair."
omg why advertise on the net that you do it and then say that to a customer?! lol some people eh?!?! lol
