    hey ladies,
i would like to share and hear your opinions on my plans for my hair and make-up.
The college near me has an on site salon which is run by the students undertaking the hair and beauty courses.
I have had my hair done there before first time i had it curled which cost £5 and they did a better job than a proffessional salon that i went to and that cost £25-£30.
i have also had my hair cut and coloured there, i had it layered, coloured and highlighted all for £20 bearing in mind i had loads cut off, i thought that was cheap as chips.
my miltb has her nails done there and they do such a good job.
they are all supervised by their tutors who are professioally trained.
i have looked at their prices for occassional make-up and it is only £5 and hair is from £5 obviously depending on how complex the style you want.
a few other colleges in my area do this kind of thing, i thought it was a very good cheap alternative as i have been quoted £70 just for my make-up from other companies. i know they arent professionals (yet) but for those prices its worth going in for a trial and seeing what they are capable of doing. i imagine there are colleges near you who provide a similar service. what do people think? :-)

Brilliant idea hun, i would definatly go for it..
They wont of just started the course ether, the college wouldnt stuck them out there if they didnt know what they were doing if that makes sence.

My friend got married a few years ago & had a trainee photographer cheap as chips and the photos were perfect!! xx

Definately go for it, it's a bargain, I'm paying £65, if there was a college near to where I am getting married I'd use them x

Try the local college to see if they have a photography course
I agree every person has to start somewhere, and as you can have a trial its worth a go
My only concern would be that the day can be quite stressful so you need to be happy that they can work under pressure as they probably wont be used to that. Maybe just make sure you have extra time factored in so they can take their time

There are so many people out there who will tell you
    what you can't do.
What you have to do is turn around and say, "watch me"!!
