My hair and make up trial is tomorrow morning and i am so nervous about it.

I have always had bad skin when i was a teenager and am now left with scars on my cheeks and still have the odd breakout of acne even now at 24 years old!

I hate going out without make up and swear by my trust estee lauder foundation which covers me perfectly. I don't want to have to do my own make up on my wedding day and i got a really good package with a salon in my local town which included my make up so i may aswell let them do it but I hate the way my skin looks and just scared they won't cover it as good as I do (even if i say so myself) they use airbrush make up so i'm presuming it should look ok.

I'm so particular with my hair and make up that i'm just scared that i won't be happy with what they do. I think I may be just over panicking did anyone else feel this way? xx

i don't think your over panicking hun, you just know what you like and are particular, i think thats a good thing.

I think you should discuss your issues with the artists beforehand and make aware that you are really selfconsiuos about your skin and that you would like it covered and flawless as possible.
You are paying them so pay them to do it the way YOU want it, its your big day and your appearance.

you'll be fine hun your having your trial early enough to be able to tell them that your skin reacted badly to the make up they use so they will have time to get some different products ready for you.

I was the same but don't panic all will be fine!

When they come tell them your fears and the things you would like them to address then let them do their thing. You never know they might have a more effective way that you never thought of. Remember they make up 100s of different faces throughout the year and have probably had to contend with every skin type going. Enjoy it!

Try not to worry too much - you sound like the sort of person make up artists love!

You know what you want, so just make sure that they know too - after all, that's what the trial is for.

Good luck, I'm sure you'll be fine xx

it didnt exactly go great today. She did a great job with my hair and i'm happy with what shes done but make up was appalling hardly covered my skin and then products she used on top i.e blusher - you couldnt tell i had blusher on, eyes looked awful she did my eyebrows far too dark didnt feel like me at all so have decided i'm going to do my make up myself for the day i came home took what she'd done off and applied my own and felt so much better and loved my hair even more. i dont mind doing my own make up anyway i got a make up diploma at college so i know what i'm doing and know what works with my skin and what doesn't.

Well, well done you! I think its great for you to do your own make up and at least you will feel happy and confident in your appearance. Theres nothing worse than feeling self consciuos.

thats what i thought i really was so nervous and worried as i am so particular when it comes to my make up i cannot live without my estee lauder double wear its my trusty foundation for years and just covers my skin perfectly. I'm pleased i tried letting someone else do it but would feel happier as i know what suits. love my hair though so thats a good thing x

I'm going to be doing my make up myself too, I don't think there's anyone that knows how you like it done better than yourself. At least you've got you're hair sorted out though :-) x

    Hey hun,

I was exactly the same, i am very particular on my make up..and not that im blowing my own trumpet, but i do apply it well and it does look good, therefore from the off i was always going to do my own, and do you know what - i am sooooo pleased that i did!!! It really made me forget my wedding nerves on the morning as i was concentrating on what i was doing so much, i ended up doing my own hair aswell as the hairdresser couldnt do it the way i wanted, ive had so many compliments and my husband....(eekkk my husband!) welled up at the sight of me - so i recon its better to do it yourself if you love the way you cover your skin etc....xxx
