Hi all I'm searching for someone to do my hair and make up and I wondered if you could give me any tips and let me know the kind of prices that are reasonable? Also does anyone have any recommendations in the York area? Thank you x

I managed to find a lady for £30 each hair and make up! I found her through asking other brides on my photographers facebook page. It may be worth you doing something like that or try gumtree etc.

That is an excellent price as quotes in Kent are around £150-£200 for both hair and make up xx

Oh I've had some silly quotes in which is why I was so pleased when I got a personal recommendation from a bride that had just got married and used her. Also because it was through my photographers facebook page it meant that I could look at her wedding photos to see her work.

I've had a quote of £350 for: Hair - me, mum, 3 bridesmaids make-up - me, mum 2 bridesmaids
and a trial of each for me. I thought it was quite expensive?

I've found someone that charges £40 for my makeup which includes consultation, trial and make up on the day. She also does hair and charges £15 for a trial then 'from' £20 for hair done on the day which seems quite good I think. x

i found some one for hair that will do it for around 15 to 20 each for both trial and the day but not got anyone to do make up yet

i found some one to do hair and makeup for my and my daughter which is costing £80 for all of it with trial and they are coming to me on the day xx

mine is £50 per person but that includes the trial beforehand :) x
I have know my soulmate for 27 years and on the 6th August
I married him and became Mrs Garnham.
It was most definitely the happiest day of my life.
