    Hello Ladies

I am looking for some opinions please on headwear...

For the last few months I have thought I would wear a tiara (as when else would you ever get to wear one!) and one of my best friends said I could use hers (6 years old) as my something borrowed which I thought was a lovely idea, and it does look lovely. But now I am starting to wonder if tiaras are now becoming a little dated? I'm not sure, but when I google 2013 bridal hair everyone seems to be wearing a head band.

    Thanks x

What do you want to wear? you dont need to follow fashion or everyone else but do what you want to do.

I dont actually think tiaras will ever become dated as its all princessy and very wedding related and been tradionatal for years however I do think headbands/slides are fashionable and a nice alternative but a wedding should sometimes be classic rather than fashionable.

I am having a tiara and when viewing wedding dresses they put me in a tiara every time so shows they are still fashionable xx

i just bought my tiara which is wirey and the detail can be bent and moved so it looks less like a traditional tira. I love it. But remember it is your day wear what you love and are comfortable in xx

Wear what you want to wear. Eventually everything we've worn to our weddings will look dated so we might as well wear something we want to wear and feel beautiful in. x

I'm wearing a floral circlet that trails down the back of my hair, just because I like it! Go with what you want, you only get to make all these amazing decisions once! I like tiaras, my best friend made one for her wedding. I don't think there is a right or wrong, and if people are worth their salt they won't judge you purely on what's fashionable at the time :)

I'm having a veil but wearing a hair brooch instead towards the side of my hair style, I'm not a keen fan of tiaras x

I didn't think I wanted to wear one, However when I went dress searching, the shop assistant put one on me and it looked lovely so might wear one now. (I have very curly hair so was't sure if it would look right).
Go with what you want hun.. and if you reasearch them you can some very modern styles.

I'm wearing a tiara. They put one on me in the dress shop and i fell in love with it! Wear whatever you want to wear don't worry about it being outdated.

Aw thanks for the messages! I feel a bit overwhelmed you've taken the time to write :)

I really don't have a preference which is why I thought I'd ask the question. When i went dress shopping they popped tiaras on my head and since i have just been going along with it, till the other day i thought do i actually want to wear a tiara as there are other options??! But it's nice to know that people are still wearing them if I should choose to stick with it.

Think I will try out some hair styles and see what looks best on me. :)

Thank you all so much xx

I tried on different styles of tiaras and to be honest I never wanted something big in the first place, but as I tried them on I knew straight off it werent for me, they are all too 'crowny' if you get me! So I tried on a headband style one...detailing all across but cause it lay flat, it was all delicate and gentle & perfect. now just got to find the one for me!
I havent gone for a side on one either as they arent me, and also my hair is half up/down soft curls so side one would get 'lost'.

    xx
