Hey ladies, so I've been looking for bm dresses for a while, nothing was standing out for me, also I wanted something which my bm's would like, particularly my sister. I wanted a 50s style one. Today I found one, its taffeta, on the top and netted skirt with 6/7 layers so it really flares out. So there £150 each. I obviously asked if that's her best price, she said she can give £25 off of each dress, so saving £75 in total, by that wont include any dress alterations, and we would need to alter it ourselves if it isn't right. Or if we pay £150 they will press the dress out and alterations are £25 on top if needed. I didn't see this as much of a bargain if I'm honest? The size 8 on my sister was too big so she will need a 6, so ill have to get the other girls measured too. Could I haggle on the price any mre do you think, or do you thinks price seems good? Also is £25 a good price for alterations if needed?

It doesn't sound much of a bargain really, however i'm not sure if you could haggle the price down anymore. It sounds as though they include the price of the alterations in the dress quotes anyway, and if this is the case then the shop gains if the dresses don't need changing.

Yeah that's what I thought. I may ring them tomorrow and see what they say. X

It's worth asking. I'd be tempted to say I can afford to spend X on the dresses, and see what happens next. Sometimes it's easier to haggle when you just give the a price. good luck :)
