Well, we had our menu tasting on Wednesday and it went really well; 5 of us went (OH and I's was complimentary, then my brother, dad, and mum came along as we wanted to try as many different choices as possible lol). The food was delicious, the presentation exceptional, and the portion sizes really generous!
We've now decided on our final choices; guests will have the choice of the following dishes; we have 1 coeliac guest and 4 pescatarian guests:
Starter:
Melon and parma ham (gluten free)
OR
Cheese and red onion tart with side salad (vegetarian)
Main:
Hereford Angus sirloin steak served with sauteed potatoes and wilted spinach, and smooth peppercorn sauce (in a dish on the side) (gluten free)
OR
Pot-roast breast of corn-fed chicken with a mushroom, leek, and pancetta risotto and chicken veloute (gluten-free)
OR
Pan-seared salmon fillet with spring onion and herb-crushed potatoes and white wine veloute (pescatarian; gluten free)
OR
Wild mushroom, spinach and ricotta lasagne (vegetarian)
Dessert:
Apple tart tatin with vanilla ice-cream and apple crisp (vegetarian)
OR
Chocolate mousse (vegetarian; gluten-free)
OR
Fresh fruit salad (vegetarian; gluten-free)
Really chuffed that they've been so accommodating, and hopefully there will be something for everyone :-)
