So, yesterday didn't really go as planned thanks to the wonder of British weather! But nonetheless, we had a great time! We were supposed to have a picnic in St James Park to start with but I was awake at 4.20am listening to the rain pooring down. Although it had stopped by 6am, I knew it would be too wet underfoot to sit ont he grass, so went on the good ole tinternet to try to find somewhere that had picnic tables. Couldn't find that info so the only place I knew had them was the park by the Imperial War Museum, so text the girls at 8am to let them know to meet me and my BM there instead. I felt a spot of rain and then, without further warning, the heavens just opened! My BM and I headed for cover under a tree but it wasn't showing any signs of slowing down, so we ran for cover in the porch of the Imperial War Museum, called everyone to meet us there and decided to head back to mine for a lounge picnic! So we drank quite of lot of wine and ate some lovely food, not to mention the best viccy sponge (wheat-free made with potatoes, but my goodness, was it AMAZING!) ever. and at about 4.30 we left to go back into town and have some cocktails before dinner. We had a great time, I got quite drunk :) and at the restaurant a random guy offered to take a photo of us all, so here it is!

In return, HE bought US a round of shots (2 of my friends don't drink, so I ended up having theirs too!), which I'm still trying to find the logic too, but not complaining! Feeling a bit worse for wear today and I'm just sad it's all over as we all had such a lovely time.

Head not too bad, but my tummy is a mess!!! Me and BM went for breakfast and I was really struggling to keep it down (quite pleased that I wasn't sick with so much alcohol consumed though!), so I had some toast and the hash browns but left the rest! Feeling a bit better now. Hx

Was still ill 26 hours after finishing drinking. Not nice. But feel much better this morning! Have just had some toast and a cuppa and feel almost human :)
