Got my first fitting tomorrow and I'm going alone :(
Quite sad about it to be honest. My MOH was supposed to be coming, but the alterations people had ti chane the date which clashed with MOH availability. She's away on a hen weekend. I've not got parents to come with me (passed on), my other bm is a complete let down so not even bothered asking her. My sil2b can't come, so need to go alone :(
I hope I don't get emotional when I'm there. I'll look like a right idiot lol

((hugs)) hunny xx didnt wanna just read and run, but it is just a fitting at the end of the day, your MOH will be with you on the big day and im sure your mum will be watching too :) Can you use the fitting as a matter of fact make sure everything is right kind of appointment...if you go in thinking matter of factly - it may help with any emotions u may have whilst in there :) xxx

i'm back and the woman was lovely!!
i had to wait for a bit as she was running late, but i didn't mind. i had nothing to do anyway and it gave me a chance to look at all the different displays (it's in a wedding centre which i wish i'd known about before hand!!). i was watching clips of people's wedding videos and getting all emotional. had to give myself a shake!! lol
anyway, i went in to get the dress on and started for feel sad as i really need someone else to help me get it on!! i had to ask her to help me. she brightened my day by saying the size was perfect for me!! i didn't need it taken out at all and to have to bust taken in. she saw my shoes and asked if i wanted her to shorten the skirt so that the tips of the shoes can be seen when i walk, which i agreed to after trying it pinned in place. having a bustle put in as well
the only draw back is that it's a lot more than i thought it would be. it's £140 for it all. i know that's an average price, but still more than i want to pay :( it needs done though. just means i have to cut back on other stuff

I'm having a bit of an issue with the underskirts though
The dress itself is quite layered and heavy. I've got a big underskirt AND a one hooped underskirt under it. I've tried it as a two hooped but the weight of the dress caused the hoop to bed. I'm still getting the same issue with a single hoop. I've tried putting the spare hoop in with the bottom hoop (if that makes sense) to strengthen it, but it's still bending under pressure from the back of the dress
It really needs a better shape. It isn't 'sticking out' as much as it was on the pronovias website

It looks fantastic on you Is there such a thing as a stronger hoop? Could the shop help? Im guessing they must have come across this before (In all honesty I know nothing about hoops)
There are so many people out there who will tell you
what you can't do.
What you have to do is turn around and say, "watch me"!!
