id love to go to new york, so many things there that i want to see. so h2b suggested going to new york for a few days, hire a car then drive to miami but stopping along the way at motels and seeing things we wouldnt see if we flew. then stay at miami for a few days, all in all being away for about 2 weeks.
his dream would be to hire a mustang for the honeymoon and after looking it up it would only cost about $400 which is very cheap considering it costs about £400 to hire a normal car over here for 1-2 days.
after discussing it with h2b i am starting to warm to the idea of being on the open road travelling all that way with him. but its just thinking about the weirdos that probably stay in the motels over there lol

My OH would absolutely love that. His dream holiday is to hire a winiebago and travel the barrier reef in Australlia. We can't afford that yet so where just off to sharm el sheikh for 11 nights x

Were asking for money instead of gifts so the honeymoon all depends how generous our families are lol

We got married in Vegas and hired a Harley for part of our honeymoon. We spent two nights on the road making our way up to the Grand Canyon, had a night there and then a night on the road again before getting back to Vegas. We stayed in motels all those nights, bar the one in the Grand Canyon. I'd never stayed in motels before so was a little nervous, but hubby had done it lots as he'd biked across America on more than one occasion.
It was an experience - I think it made a difference that we were on a Harley as this is a real conversation starter, as I'm sure a mustang would be - and we did it again this year when we had a mini road-trip from San Francisco to San Simeon on the west coast, so it couldn't have been all bad LOL!
I didn't encounter any weirdo's on either trip, but have to admit, I did make sure I double locked the motel door so I felt nice and safe ;)

Oh, one thing I will say is that you should make sure you take a pair of flip flops or slippers with you, to wear around the room...I didn't really want to talk bare-foot on some of them LOL!
Diners are awesome! I tried Chicken Fried Steak (sometimes also known as Country Fried Steak)...for breakfast! It's basically steak that has been hammered to tenderise it, then dipped in a coating, similar to what you get on fried chicken (for the record, I usually hate it, but I think it's the greasy chicken that I hate more than the coating), then it's deep fried. It's served with 'gravy' (which is cream in colour and made with bacon bits too, and 'biscuits', which are savoury dumpling type things. Full of calories, but absolutely out of this world!

sounds like a top idea, we want to do the travelling across america thing too, but we were gunna fly, i might suggest the road trip idea to him, though i doubt he'll go for it, he'll want someone else to do the driving and he wont trust me to do it haha

That sounds amazing! Go for it! It will be something you never forget. You will see much, just think of all the photos you can have and all the moments togther that you wouldn't get on a plane with a load of people you don't care about or even know. And keep in mind it's your H2B's honeymoon too.

My mum said she's gonna worry about us over there as u don't know who ur gonna.meet. but tbh I'm more worried about leaving my girls lol.
