I am so raging with him, last night we had a couple of drinks watchin a movie, and got into a discussion about the wedding, now when we first got engaged i only wanted the kid as bridesmaids to stop any arguing, the kids being my daughter and stepdaughter to be who will be 13 by the time we get married and my niece who will be 14, but then his sister decided well TOLD us she was being a bridesmaid so i though fare enough but i cant exactly have her and not ask my own sister so bridesmaids up to 5 then i had a few drinks to many and asked my best friend bm count up to 6, plus my origanal plan was to have to flower girls, my niece who will be 4 and my goddaughter who will be 10, so i started thinking that my goddaugher would prob prefer to be bm as she is a bit older so i asked her in the presence of h2b what she would prefer and she said bm, bm count 7, which my h2b has known about for A YEAR AND A HALF!!!! so last night he told me it was REDICULOUS!! idea to have 7bms and even his family had said it was stupid to have 7bms as they wouldnt all fit in the pictures and that his sister was thinking of withdrawing as bridesmaid.
and i SAID GOOOOOOD I DIDNT WANT HER AS BM IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!!

sorry for the major rant but a year n a half later n now he decideds to take an interest, RAGING!!

Hey that's pretty good! Your H2B taking an interest with 18 months still to go - most of them struggle to show an interest with 2 months to go - LOL

Mine is still mostly in denial - although I'm dragging him out to try on suits today.

Why do they always act like you havent told them just because they werent really listening when you orginally did tell them! Ug men are hard work. You should have as many BMs as you want hun but it should be your choice, you shouldnt feel pressured to have BMs that you dont really want. I know how you feel hun. Although its a bonus you dont have to have his sister now eh?

yeah, to be honest Dan was interested in the venue (chosen 16 months before) and then about 6 weeks before when he went to pick suits (after relentless "reminding" from me) and then about 2 weeks before he got excited

lol honestly - I told my h2b 3 times yesterday that I'm working 11 to 8 today, each time he was surprised when I told him and ask how that was, and guaranteed he'll email me as norm at 5:30 to ask what I want for dinner lol I know what you mean about bridesmaids - we decided not to have nieces/goddaughter because there would be far too many people and you cant ask one without asking them all can you x

Why is it h2b have to tell you what HIS family are saying, mine has now learnt to keep his gob shut when it comes to HIS family, as for i dont give a flying monkey what they think anymore. As my hubby 2b now tells me its my day and that there opinions dont count (taken him 4 yrs to learn this lesson that I AM ALWAYS right :0) ) U can have as many or as little as you want, the photographer will sort u all out anyway so the photos wouldnt look odd anyway !!! I was really brave when i put my foot down with my sil2b and said no only having my best mate and 1 goddaughter as my best woman i didnt want 12 bridesmaids, (and they are all brats any way lol )

But at least your h2b is listening to know how many u r having a very good sign xx

Aww hun I know what you mean. I could suggest something to h2b and he's not interested, then a member of his family suggest it and it's the best thing he's heard lol Examples as follows

I suggested getting rid of carpet in living room before our son was born so spills are easy to clean up, h2b thought it was a terrible idea until his mum suggested it to him then all of a sudden it was full steam ahead

He had injured his back and paracetamol alone werent working, so I'd suggested spacing it so he has his paracetamol every 4 - 6 hrs, with ibuprofen in between. He thought I was talking nonsense until his cousin (who's an auxiliary, not a fully qualified nurse) said it was ok and he told me he was doing that like I'd never heard it before lol

Breathe deeply and count to 10(000000), and let him stew today for being an idiot and trying to argue lol x

there is def some sort of mental block for men when the word "wedding" crops up. i was in midd flow with my H2B the other day relating to a visit to the hotel where were getting married and he totally changed the converation midd flow! Now if the converation was realting to how he needs to sell his beloved car he would be all ears!!!
id say stuff his family, you have wot you want and who you want as bridesmaids. i picked mine and he aint having a say on that matter, im not interfeering on who he has as best man or ushers (even though we dont really need them) as were not doin the big church thing.
    Men!! :-)

LOL Jill - I know what you mean about how if you suggest something it's in one ear and out the other, but as soon as someone else says the same thing, it's "ooo great idea I'll try that!".

Mind you *whispers* if we are being fair - I've done the same thing - oops

Ah hun we are the opposite!! i am trying to get him to bring his grooms man down!!

He has asked 3 people to be best man and then saying if they arent best man then they are grooms man!
    Eh no pick one!
two of the guys he asked cant even be honest with him about a night out at the weekend saying they are staying in all the time and then they actually go out. Iv told him to re-evaluate his friendship with them.

Maybe talk to your other bridesmaids and arrange something.
7 isnt much if your having a big do!

    xxx
