my H2B was supposed to be going to scotland this weekend with his mates, who were driving up and climbing mountains for charity. One of his mates was taking his car and they were sharing the driving so its not so bad.
That i was fine with, but a few weeks ago H2B said he was now taking MY car and stopping off picking someone up along the way (who i dont like) then going via newcastle (bit of a detour) and someone else was driving the rest of the way. i wasnt very happy about it as its my car but said fine so long as u dont end up driving to scotland, well latest deleopment now is newcastle is off and he was driving up the whole way himself and was unsure if this girl was going or not, he has pitches booked and needs to cancel if she doesnt go but she is messing him about saying ohhhh im not sure i have a bad knee and the weather is rubbish so i dont know! and not only that she hasnt even booked the time from work yet! For god sake woman just say yes or no dont mess about! Also its not fair as he now has to stump up the petrol bill on his own whereas before he gave up his lift with the lads they were sharing so would have cost him about £25 petrol rather than £100 now!
& I really am not happy about him driving for 8 hours or so on his own, i know im being silly and over protective but i hate it when he drives long distances & tired from climbing mountains. i just keep having nightmares about car crashes and it scares me when he is on his own. I need to get a grip or a grip of her throat!!!!!!

Your not being silly at all. I certainly wouldn't be happy with my H2B driving for that long either without a really good rest at least half way there. Motorway driving is dangerous on it's own without being tired too. Can he not just say to this woman that he needed to know by .....date and preapre the other lads that he may be going with them after all? surely if she hasn't booked the time off work then the only other way is by throwing a sickie?

the lads have filled the car now with another bod so no room for him, plus they were coming from yarmouth and taking a little detour to pick him up. havent looked at trains or planes as he will have all his camping gear and walking gear which is a little awkward to take on public transport. i have said cancel the pitches so u dont get charged and just say if u dont confirm by tonight your not going! he has now said he isnt keen on going alone as its too much hassle and is getting stressed about it so fingers crossed he is re thinking!!!! plus he hasnt the money anyway!
lol i dont do climbing especially not the ben lol! but i did say if i had the holiday i would book it off so he wasnt travelling alone but im struggling for days off with my 3 week hol for the wedding

Well update he deff isn't going now, the girl who was messing him around hasn't bothered to let him know. So when he text to check last night she had a major strop n has now deleted herself from facebook n twitter after slagging him off. Y she has the right to moan at him when he gave up his original lift to go out of his way to pick her up n he has done nothing but b nice to her dropping her places after climbs n not having any money off her for petrol. He is fuming about it all as she is trying to create an atmosphere with his other walking friends, silly little moo!!! Just shows he should always listen to me as I told him from min one she was trouble n it's funny how she falls out with at least one person each time they meet, she made it out to b her being bullied but it's clearly her being messed up!
On a purely selfish point I'm glad I have my h2b all weekend to myself
