I'm absolutely raging......our friends who have a band and offered!!! to play at our wedding have just text us to say they can't do it anymore as they have been asked to play elsewhere :-( I'm so angry i'm spitting teeth GRRRRR!!!!!

And I have exactly the same problem. OH's cousin offered to DJ, just found out he hasn't got the right insurance and he's not willing to sort it so now I need to find a DJ!

i'm actually so mad, i don't think i really want them to do it now. The worse thing is they didn't even have the decency to phone us or speak to us face to face. I feel really let down.

That's so annoying especially when they had already booked with you and also not to tell you face to face that they no longer can do it. What type of band would you be looking for to replace them?

JaeSin.....i guess thats two off the guest list....they are playing a gig elsewhere now so that would be an evening thing and they live about 2and a half hours away. Liz3yy....I 'm right there with you....I wouldn't have them now if they did change their minds. The other thing is that a band that i really wanted were available to do our wedding and now were waiting to hear back if they are still free :-(

I did check the links you gave me spooney,thanks for that, but i'll have to phone tomorrow to see whether they travel as far south as Troon :-( Ideally it would be a pop/rock band for less than a grand. The band I originally wanted before Alex friends offered were only £650 and absolutely fab....I'm so mad I didn't just book them now.

Thank you so much for all your help and suggestions.......thankfully i've managed to find 2 bands that i like and are available on our date. The only problem is one sounds slightly better ( the other is good too tho') but the other has a better set list. What do you think i should go for? x
