I'd seen this venue that I really like and had a lot of recommendations from friends. I emailed them to see what the prices were like, and how quickly dates got booked up.
I was told that they weren't taking any bookings for Summer 2012 because of the Olympics! What a lame excuse! Now I'm slightly worried I'm going to have that problem with other venues too :-(

Can you go in and see them personally? Tell them how much you want the venue for your wedding and they may change their mind??

The olympics is going to bring lots of cash to hotels etc and it may be that a team has already block booked it but i would go down and see them like goff says xx
