    Hey girls,

Feeling a wee bit down because I have everything for the wedding day budgeted for and most things have been bought but I still dont have anything special for the wedding night. I dont have enough money to get anything either :-( I saw this gorgeous babydoll that I wanted to change into after the big day and its only £30 but every single penny from next months wage is accounted for :-(

Im gutted cos I love nice underwear but I have spent so much money on the wedding this month that I am completely skint. It wouldnt have been this bad if I hadnt have been off work sick for nearly 3 months. Its so annoying because if I had just another £50 I would be fine but I have £400 worth of stuff to pay for out of next months wages. Which after I pay my bills is all Ill have left. Arrrrrggggghhhhhhhh. I cant ask my parents cos its underwear and thats embarrassing and I cant ask H2B to buy it for me cos then he'll see it. He kept saying how is looking forward to see my choice for the wedding night and now I cant afford to buy anything :-(

I have a lovely thong and suspender belt to wear under the dress but I really need something for my top half.....please help ladies, I have pretty much everything else covered and wedding night undies was one of the most important things to me :-(

    Any ideas?

Could you not ask your parents to loan you £30 and you'll pay them back next pay day? They don't have to see the underwear xxx

Hmmmm I never thought about that! I could see what I have in the house that is no use to me...

I am sure there must be something I could take to cash converters or somewhere like that, we do have a flat full of stuff. I have my old mobile phone too, I wonder if anywhere would give cash for it...it was quite an expensive one. There must be something laying about! Thats a great idea. I'll have a search tonight :-)

Thank you, I never thought of that! :-)

I kinda mentioned to my parents about borrowing a few quid last week and they didnt seem very keen. I dont want to annoy them because they've helped me out with a few things already. They tend not to believe me when I ask to borrow cash these days - I was never very good at paying it back when I was younger and now I dont think they trust me....

I could ask H2B if I can use his card though. Thing is, he is gunna be skint this month too, so not sure if he'll be able to spare any cash.

I will defo look round the house though. We have a brand new boxed gucci wallet from his work in the house. It costs about £100 new but I could try n sell it on ebay for like £50. Although, not sure Id get that for it......

Im only good at buying on ebay, Ive never sold anything on there before so not too sure lol

Don't worry, 3 weeks is still enough time to use ebay or mazuma. Just try to relax, you'll manage it somehow. Good luck :) xxx

I would ask one of my bms but Ive had to ask them to pay for their hair and shoes and Id feel bad asking them to pay for anything else. I could ask my best pal who is a bridesmaid as I know she is good with money and always has savings but she is staying at the hotel the night before & the night of the wedding, so she will have to pay for the hotel room for her and her man. I dont know if it would be too cheeky to ask her to lend me cash....

I'll have a look round the house tonight because, to be honest, theres probably loads of stuff we could do with getting rid of. Our spare room is full of H2Bs stuff. Thanks for your help girls

rockabilly the thing with ebay selling is starting on a good price and having the right words in the heading and as much info as you can in the description. i had a quick look and Gucci wallets in boxes are selling well especially if they are new.
if you need any help with thedescriptionn let me know and i will see what h2b says he sells loads on ebay all the time and i would say over 90% sell.

Soon to be Mrs Mann - That is a great idea actually, I have hundreds of dvds that are doubles cos me and H2B both had copies and a lassie that H2B worked with gave him a massive bunch of dvds she didnt want anymore. Most of thm arent really our cup of tea so thats like 40 odd dvds Id happy get rid of! And its an iphone app? I will be trying that tonight :-)

Thank you so much for your help ladies, its so lovely to have you girls on here. I feel so much better now :-)

Krissy - thats great, thank you very much :-) I'll just need to double check with H2B he is ok for it to go on ebay. He got it from the gucci rep for having good sales but he would never use it - far too bright for him. He said about selling it on ebay before but he doesnt even have an ebay account so I could do it :-)

Thanks again everyone, feeling so much more positive now :-)

Have you had your hen night yet? If not why don't you book a personal toy and under wear party you know who I mean? Have it early then you can still go out. Any sales will give you discount, the more sales the more discount, You usually get a hostess gift too. Maybe you could get something nice for yourself if you ask the rep to bring some bits in your size from their collection then you can get it on the night and not have to wait.

if you was thinking of doing what dolphin suggested you could even get that and pay the full balance the following month when your less stretched that why you don't even get any interest or you could use one of the catalogues that do a buy now and pay later as long as you pay the full balance before the start of the bnpl start date you wont get interest either. i do that with my account with next and very xx

Debs have a sale on at the mo and some of their stuff is pretty reasonable, normally if you sign up to their newsletter they send you an e-voucher for 10% extra off. You could try it on and order online with his card
If not of you know when your h2bs next credit card statement is due if you buy it after the statement date you will get 6 weeks til you need to pay it which buys some time

Thank you again for your help everyone, I went on that magpie thing last night and started scanning in all the old rubbish dvds I've got, most of them were only worth 30 pence each but I do have about 40/50 dvds that are either doubles or that I dont want so I might as well work through them and try to get some pennies for them. Also, H2B has offered to pay for my undies :-) He is being such a sweety, I was freaking out a bit last night and he was so good helping me to calm down and said not to worry, he can get any last wee bits. Phew!! I really thought he'd be skint too but he isn't doing too badly. Its my hen do on saturday night, I never thought about the underwear party thing, that wouldve been a great idea but my BM has organised the hen do at her house and I think it would be a bit late to book someone now. But that is a great idea. I feel so much better now, I get myself all worried.

Thank you so so much everyone :-)

some of our were like 30p each but they soon add up, we were suprised when meerkat manor box set was worth £8 so you have to just work through them and see what they come out at its really worth it

we sent away about 110 dvds for that much but some were really scratched and didn't play so they knock the money down if they are useless and recycle them for you. we just needed the space which is why we got rid of them in the end

YAY! glad your H2B has offered to get them for you thats so nice :-)

I thought that, some might be worth more than others. Me & H2B both have the monty python film box set, so might get a couple of quid for that. Weirdly Return to Oz was worth a bit more, I hate that film it totally freaks me out. lol

h2b as got rid of loads of cd and dvds on there and the ones that are worth the most tend to be the crap ones that aren't very popular. h2b even bought some of car boots last year for silly pence and made a profit selling them in to them lol

I agree dig out some bits and bobs and put them on the bay, old phones, cd's etc can get you money. Or do you have any clubcard points you could turn into vouchers for shops? Hope you get it sorted! Or ask your mum/dad to loan you £30 like other have said i'm sure they would do it. You don't have to tell them what it's for.
    Hope you get it sorted!
