I've just been invited to my own wedding!!!!.... via the book of face!!!! Two of our guests have set up a group that is open to ANYONE. I'm fuming. AND they haven't even got the time right. GRRRRRR

omg/ Why would your guests do this. Phone them and make them take it off immediately. Write something on its wall too saying that this is a hoax etc. Make it clear people will not be invited

I'm glad you all think it's at least a bit out of order. I thought I was over-reacting! H2B's going to contact them as I'm so mad I'll probably end up univiting them! He got so much more tact, diplomacy and patience than me LOL! If I wanted a group setting up then I would have done it myself. For goodness sake. Why do they think they have the right?!?!

Jellybabylin - I can see the funny side too - it really is quite funny that I've been invited to my own wedding. You're not overreacting- I'd hit the roof if that were me! Especially if it was an Open Invite group that anyone can RSVP to. Good on you for setting your h2b on them, but definitely uninvite them if they don't take the event page down.
When they got the time wrong, was that the time of day or the day itself? If it were me, I wouldn't correct them and watch them turn up on the wrong day *evil maniacal laugh*

contact the venue , maybe they could send them an invoice for the hire etc

and i wont even think of inviting them after this ...as they say who need enemys with friends like that
I would reply no, and explain you wont be there as you will be at your real wedding at a different time etc..... make the point public and then deal with them in private.

Am I being a tad innocent about the book of face? folk who are your "friends" and feel its ok to invite the world to a special and personal event such as your wedding.
Maybe its time I look through all of mine and give it serious thought incase the same happens.

OMG thats is so wrong why is it people take it apon themselfs to do things like this have you spoke to them and told them to take it off I would be going off my head at them and making it clear to them that if you want to make a fb page about your wedding then you will do they not relise that that group and by seen of the hole of fb I would write on the wall of it just now that this is not an invite from you and that you didnt not set up this page but people will be getting there offical invites soon and that there will be security at the venue that works on a no invite no entry system xx

Thanks for all your support ladies! Turns out that they use FB for organising their own private lives but had forgotten to make the even private, just for them. Hmmmm...anyway, they have now removed it, so all is well with the world again! I can't belive that they don't have a diary in this day and age a shared online diary (me and H2B do this). Ah well. As far as I'm concerned, it's done now and no really harm done apart from my blood pressure for a couple of hours LOL! Hx
