Afternoon everyone,

I just wanted to moan a little. I consider myself fairly aid back with my wedding planning but now I'm getting a little fed up because there's a few things going wrong!

We've been engaged for nearly 2 years and getting married in April. Around 18 months ago FIL2B suggested we speak to a guy at his work who does photography as his hobby had started doing weddings. He seemed great, we had a chat and he said him and his friend (also amatuer photographer would do the wedding for £300 all day and evening. Sorted.

I emailed him this week and it appears he has forgotten, or time has gone by a little too quickly. Turns out his friend had forgotten and now double booked. This was why I wanted to give them a deposit but they said not to worry! FIL2B has gone into a grump and told the other guy not to bother, so now we don't have a photographer.

We are planning to have a local band, and have been in more regular contact with them, but now i'm worried the same thing might happen there too particularly as they haven't played any gigs for some time, don't want any money etc. Problem is, if this goes pear shaped we don't have a DJ!!! We were thinking about doing the sets between the band on an iPod, but now I'm thinking thats not ideal just in case! But obviously we need to use our spare money to cover the costs of a new photographer (if we can find one). Plus time is running out now...

I'm just being grumpy, spent all weekend making invites, which we are in the process of sending out which has been exhausting, not to mention my sister coming to spend the weekend to help and then whining because we weren't going out for a drink because we were making the invites!!! I'm just glad I didn't choose her has a bridesmaid!

Last night I also found out my friend who is in the army wont be coming because he's booked a holiday with his girlfriend even though I told him over a year ago the date! I'm really cross with him for doing this because I hardly see him, and he knew I wanted him to come, and I know he's only sorted the date of his holiday out recently because he was meant to be going in December but got called up for duty so has rescheduled it recently.

And today I'm off sick! So I'm feeling pretty miserable!

If anyone knows of some cheap photographers in the North West (Lancaster/Kendal/Lakes) plus a cheap DJ that would be great! Maybe then I'll feel a little better! Sorry for ranting guys :( xx

We do have some friends who are into photography, 2 really good friends who are pretty good, but one of them is one of the Best Men and the other is coming all the way from Australia for the wedding, so I really don't want them to have that pressure, I just want them to enjoy themselves and if they happen to take good pictures then bonus!

Another good friend is a DJ and he has said we can borrow all his equipment so thats good but then I'm just worried if it will work. Have you ever been to a wedding where they did this? xxx
