OMG, i had my wedding booked at Longhirst and after a few eventful meals there (along with 2 complaints and a comp dinner) they decided to tell me that my evening doo had been moved to a different room because they were not licensed for the old part of the hotel anymore. Well in a day i had a new venue my money back from longhirst, better food rating at the new place, red carpet, free room hire (because its only evening) and a comp bedroom for myself and hubby to be on the night with a lower balance. Woop Woop getting all the extra for cheaper than before and having it at the luxurious marriott hotel, well chuffed. Longhirst Hall can go &^*$£ themselves :-)

yip, was thinking of ways to try and cancel but still get my money back so they did me a huge favour. Not sure that i wanted to have a party at a place where they have to actually call previous brides to write on the advisor of trip to say they had a brilliant time in exchange for a free meal and room lol, they were desperate (ohhhh was that meant to be a secret) honestly i dont hold grudges !!! :-)

Which Marriott is it DitsyWife? I was looking at Longhirst as a venue and rather glad I didn't now. So happy you've got another place sorted and it sounds fab x
