Sorry to moan but we have found a venue we really really love, however the deposit is £750, i know its not a lot but i emailed them and asked them if we can pay in 3 instalments - as christmas is coming, just to secure the date, its not until March 2012 and they said NO! i thought they would do this for us, its not as if we are asking them to hold it forever for free, just 2 months.
Dont know what to do, i check the website everyday to make sure noone has booked it :( GRRRRRR

Our deposit was £850 and I thought this was cheap. lol. I have to agree with everyone else, try and get the money together in any way you can (family loan, credit card, overdraft etc), you don't want to lose your day hun. xxx

its a shame they can't be more flexible, most venues would bend over backwards to secure your booking! x

the intrest free credit card sounds like a good option if that is what you want/can do. the deposit for ours was 1K but worth it to secure the venue...if you really love it then maybe go for it...if you can! =) xx

I know how it feels I am currently that way with my dress, I would say put it on interest free card but then my H2B would not allow it, so I would be in the same predicament as you :(

I really really dont want to go down the loan route, i have emailed them back saying thank you but if the date has gone at the end of october, when we will be able to pay the £500 we will look elsewhere, so hopefully they will accept it! the wedding is going to cost about £8000 for venue adn wedding, so its not as if we are not spending a lot there! got loadsa bonuses from work next year so that will be paying for a lot of it!!
