My H2B's daughter is going to be one of our bridesmaids and she will be almost 14 when we get hitched. The other 2 are aged 18 and 19. The older 2 aren't really going to grow much between now and October but his daughter has potential to grow quite a lot between now and then (or maybe not!?!?) My question is - how long do I leave it before taking measurements? Their dresses are going to be from the Bay - young, dresses which can be worn again and are readily available. Wanted to crack on and get them ordered but have no idea what to do about Annies!? Help!

I would message the seller and say you'll provide measuerments a couple of months before. That should be enough time to make the dress and ship it over to you in time for the wedding and there's unlikely to be a massive difference in those 2 months.

Meant to add you can always give the measurements with a couple of extra inches and then get it taken in as required closer to the date.

Could you order a standard adult size such as an 8, or add a couple of inches to the measurements to accommodate growth. My bm's dresses bought from the high street come up small, so I bought two 14 and two 12's (plus extras because they were £17) I've got a size 10, a size 8 and two size 6's. They will be taken in about 6 weeks before the wedding to cover weight gain and/or pregnancies.
