Im thinking of getting H2B some cufflinks as he wants something special for the wedding and to keep. I said i would get them as he spent more on my wedding ring and its something he wants. ive found some which ive personalised (havent paid yet) but they are 95 pounds is that too much ? they are hallmarked silver x

I don't think it's too much if they are what you want, they are silver and your H2B will keep them forever, so well worth £95 x

well he wants a keep sake but whether he would wear them after is a different story. I wouldnt know what else to get him that would be special...he doesnt wear a watch although for some reason he wants to wear one for the wedding ! x

im sure he would wear them again when he has to wear a suit and like you said they are a keepsake it is a lot of money but then you have to look at how much as been spent on you and how much on him im sure £95 isnt all that much then lol xx

You will find them cheaper - I think I saw some for under £50 - it depends on the style and how much you want to write on them x

My h2b does a lot of driving with his job and we alwasy have issues with taxing our cars so I've got him some cuff links that are circular with a mini tax disc inside. the date on them is the date of our wedding. I think they're fab, were £40 :) x

I was born in 1980 and H2B in 1984 so we wouldn't be able to get real sixpences from then would we? Decimalisation happened in, what, 1971 so none would have been minted after then.

Also, cheaper doesn't always guarantee quality - H2B's brother got cufflinks for his ushers and they broke when they tried to use them! I know the opposite can be true, but you want them to last. I think you go for the best you can afford.
