Just wondering... How many of you are having Groom's cakes?
If you are... what are they going to look like? Are they going to get pride of place next to the actual wedding cake? How much are you spending on them, or are you putting your love into it?

"In general, a groom’s cake is a cake that is ideally given to the groom by the bride, and it is used at the wedding reception as a secondary dessert or is put on display and eaten by the groom and his groomsmen. A groom’s cake design is usually centered around a certain personality trait of the groom, or it is based on an inside joke that the bride and groom share." - quote from ewedding

These are really popular in America although they were a British tradition first. That's all I know about them

I'm not having one, but having cans of lager in the shape of a tiered cake is fairly common.
On second thoughts.....:-)

i don't really see the point in a grooms cake, we are just having the one wedding cake, which should reflect both our personalities, if he pulls his finger out and gets me some images haha

I'm making him a groom's cake I guess.. I didn't realise it was a thing to be honest lol.. But I'm making him a small marble cake with chocolate butter icing to eat the night before the wedding.. It'll be gone in 10 mins so wont go on our cake table haha.. He loves my cakes and it's one of few things going in the box I'm putting together for him :-) xxx
