ok so we had pick supertramp 'give a little bit' as our first dance but as neither of us are the greatest dancers in the world after listening to it many timse over the last few months we decided even though we both love the song and it means something to us both its a little quick just to sway and kiss too
soooooo my H2B asked if he could pick our first dance
I totally trust him as he has had as much input to this wedding as myself so went along with the idea he came back a few weeks later with his suggestion
that being plan b ' love goes down' love the song love plan b as we both do and H2B said he picked this song because the words tell our story in a nut shell....... when we first started out over 5 years ago things were a bit rough as he had just split from his ex wife and was struggling to deal with the feelings he had for me as felt he shouldn't have been feeling this way so soon after and was scared of getting hurt again.... because of this it was a very rocky first year when we werent really together but were blah blah and lots of heart ache and tears on my part as he was a bit of a b*******d to try and put me off (which he now regrets and feels awful about)and i had fell 200%... this was long time go and well over it now we both have never been hapier and have a gorgeous son but partner feels that this song says it all esp 2nd verse this is lovely but is this a suitable first dance song opinions please.....

You can have whatever you want if it means something to you, we were speaking about this last night to our DJ and he said he's been asked to play allsorts for the 1st dance. One couple had cotton eye joe and she was about 30 something and the groom about 70 something and after the first dance he was bushed and had to go to bed and she stayed and danced the night away with her friends. We thought thats was hilarious.

I heard this on the radio on the way to work one day last week and I actually thought about it as a lovely wedding song because of the words. If it means something to you both then use it!
