Hi ladies, I'm having a bit of a dilemma now. Been planning ideas for our wedding with a purple colour theme with added splashes of dark pink to break it up (rather than the standard white/ivory), but now h2b has decided he would prefer rustic colours of dark reds/oranges/golds ... our wedding is late September 2014 so I know the theme would work rather nicely and while I do like these colours, with having auburn hair, I'm now mortified at the thought of clashing with all these colours at my own wedding if its done wrong :$ what would be the best way of incorporating these together without it looking horrendous? Any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance for your replies xx

I think it would look great, add a bit of brown in to neutralise the other colours .... Ie bridesmaid dresses x

You could have a compromise, maybe go for a rustic 'look' as in burlap and lace (hessian), if you search engine that in images, lots of gorgey ideas come up. That way you can incorp. your purples in flowers, BM dresses etc with his idea? I know what you mean about the clashing as i too have red hair but wouldn't want oranges and golds.
Plus - i'm just going to say it, isn't the colour your choice? I thought it was the brides decision as you work around what colour the BMS are?
I can't talk though as my OH wanted the same colour as my first date dress which i thought was so sweet that i just couldn't say no. PLUS it compliments my hair haha! Teal!
Good luck xxx

Are you thinking of keeping the purples and pinks, as well as the autumn colours?
If not I don't see the problem because they are colours that compliment each other, they don't clash at all imo, (ok maybe I'm a bit biased because our colour scheme is red, orange and gold ;))
