I had same thing when I was 17 and as all the results came back 'inconclusive' I was lumped with IBS. It's the label they give this stuff that they can't put any other name to! Hope you get some better news and keep nagging them for a better, more conclusive diagnosis. x

Tests you should have if you haven't already - Gastroscopy, ultrasound scans, food elimination under the supervision of a nutritionalist.
Yes it "might" be IBS - but Heather is right, they do tend to lump everything under that when there isn't an easy answer.....

hugs hun these things take a while to diagnose start a food diary of what u eat and what reaction u get like the pasta u had was fine but cookies no then take that to ya doctor after a week

Push to get tests done at the hospital Geri as I have been referred to the hospital and waiting to hear when my appointment is as I was originally diagnosed with IBS due to me having FM (as it usually is something that happens when you have FM) but over the last few months my symptoms have got much much worse. I have had to rush home on a few occasions and nearly go in the car as the rush for the loo has been unreal. The increase in pain and cramping is hard to deal with and I sometimes worry about going out in case I get caught short. I have had to leave friends early when a bout starts up. And I have only so far had blood tests to rule out wheat allergy and absorption of vitamins. xx
